Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker's surprise wedding
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are married! The two love birds got hitched following the 2022 Grammys in Las Vegas at the One Love Wedding Chapel.
The surprise wedding was held at 1:45 a.m. on Monday, April 4th. The couple showed up at the chapel straight after the awards ceremony and even wore the same outfits that they wore to attend the Grammys for their wedding.
PEOPLE magazine spoke to the owner of One Love Wedding Chapel Marty Frierson who told the publication, "I didn't know who it was until they pulled up. I advertise as 24-hours but they wanted to make sure I was still there."
Frierson continued, "They paid and they requested Elvis Presley, that was mandatory. I called back 5 minutes later and was like, I got an Elvis, and there they were."
TMZ was the first to report that Kardashian and Barker had tied the knot, and at this time, it is unclear if the duo had a marriage license prior to the ceremony. Whatever the case, one thing is for sure, the happy couple had a great time getting hitched!
According to PEOPLE magazine's interview with chapel owner Marty Frierson, it was a short ceremony, only around 30 minutes long.
Frierson also said, "They came, got married, tossed the bouquet in the driveway, and danced to Elvis. They showed a lot of love and had a lot of fun."
Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian were THE couple everyone had their eyes on in 2021. So how did these two get together? And who is the tattooed musician that Kardashian is so crazy about?
Travis Landan Barker was born on November 14, 1975 in Fontana, California. He is most famous for his role as drummer in the band Blink-182.
Travis is not just a musician but also a songwriter and record producer. He has collaborated with many hip-hop artists and forms part of the rap-rock group Transplants.
Baker is a busy guy; he started up two rock bands: +44 and Box Car Racer. Not long ago, the musician joined Antemasque and Goldfinger.
Rolling Stone magazine has named him "punk's first superstar drummer" and included him on the 100 Greatest Drummers of All Time list.
Thanks to the mainstream success that came from forming part of Blink-182, Barker has been involved in a wide variety of projects. Apart from his musical endeavors, in 1999, Trevor founded a clothing company called Famous Stars and Straps.

The star has also collaborated with DC Shoes and Zildjian, co-designing products for both companies.

In 2004 Travis also starred in a reality show, just like his new girlfriend Kourtney. The MTV show called 'Meet the Barkers' documented the daily lives of Barker and his (then) new wife Shanna Moakler.

Perhaps relationships that are filmed are cursed. Barker and Moakler were married in October 2004, but by August 2006, the musician had filed for divorce.
The couple had a very rocky and public breakup; however, by 2016, the pair managed to mend their differences enough to successfully co-parent their two children together.
After his divorce from Shanna Moakler, Travis' mental health suffered, as he felt guilty about having broken up the family. Despite his struggles with addiction and depression, Barker has always maintained a close relationship with his two children Landon Asher Barker and Alabama Luella Barker.
On September 19th, 2008, Barker survived a life-changing event: a horrific plane crash. The drummer had always had an intense fear of planes and flying. On that fateful day, just as the plane was about to take off, a wheel blew out, and the pilot lost control of the plane on the ground. The result was a horrific crash into an embankment; Travis and several others managed to escape just in time before the plane exploded.

Barker spent 11 weeks in the hospital in extreme pain, recovering from injuries. He went through 16 surgeries and multiple skin grafts. However, he made it through, and by November 2008, he was back in the studio recording. Later, in 2015 Travis released a memoir about the experience called "Can I Say: Living Large, Cheating Death, and Drums, Drums, Drums."
The accident brought some blessings to Barker's life: the reunion of Blink-182, which they announced at the 2009 Grammy Awards, and the release of Travis' first solo album: "Give the Drummer Some" in 2011.
After the plane accident, Travis underwent many lifestyle changes such as daily exercise like running and swimming, going vegan, and conquering his painkiller addiction.
Overall, it seems that Travis Barker is a passionate, hard-working, loving father, and in general, a balanced person. It's no wonder Kourtney Kardashian has snatched him up!
In early 2021, it became evident that there was more than just friendship between Travis and Kourtney. Before announcing their relationship, both stars had made hints on Instagram that they may be in a relationship together.
Then, on Valentine's Day, 2021, both Barker and Kardashian posted photos of a cozy fireplace setting on their stories. Travis also shared a picture of a diamond anklet he got for a special someone, and Kourtney posted a poem on Instagram that hinted it was about Travis: "Roses are red, violets are blue, garlic bread, Blink-182."
