Meet Mingus, son of a famous actor and a model. Do you know who they are?

Do you remember? These stars, one from the catwalk and the other from 'The Walking Dead,' had a relationship of five years. Between 1998 and 2003, they were among the most beautiful couples in the star system.

Actor Norman Reedus and model Helena Christensen had a beautiful child who would go on to become a model. They called him Mingus.

Mingus Lucien Reedus was born on October 13, 1999, in Copenhagen (Denmark), the native city of his mother.

Norman Reedus and Helena Christensen broke up when Mingus was only four.

Far from what you may expect, the couple's only child has a close and wonderful relationship with both his parents. The former couple has always stayed cordial and friendly in their interactions.

With time, it was obvious that Mingus Lucien Reedus had what it takes to become a model. And so he did.

When your mother is one of the top supermodels of the 90s — the ones that changed the fashion industry forever — is easy to find open doors in the fashion world.

Before hunting zombies in 'The Walking Dead as Daryl Dixon, Norman Reedus had also worked as a professional model.

In fact, Norman Reedus got to be part of important fashion campaigns for brands like GAP, Levi's, H&M, Lexus, and Prada.

Despite his remarkable jobs, Norman didn't get to Helena Christensen's modeling level. But let's face it, there weren't many models as good as Christensen.

With time, Mingus Reedus began following his parents' example. He has a natural interest in the fashion and showbiz world and follows his mother and father's steps.

In September 2017, Mingus Reedus stepped on the runway for the first time. He was just 17 years old.

In 2018, he participated in New York's Calvin Klein Spring Collection designed by Raf Simons.

Before that, in November 2017, ODDA magazine dedicated an article to him and branded the young professional as one of the budding stars of the moment.

And it all stayed in the family because it was his mother, Helena Christensen, who took the photos for the shoot.

Just looking at Mingus, we can tell the resemblance with his mother. He has the same heart-shaped face and an androgenic look, like his mom's. It offers him the opportunity to work with a lot of important brands.

In fact, mother and son did a Victoria's Secret campaign together. The campaign celebrated the love between parents and their children.

However, at his young age, the celebrity son has already been involved in some troubles.

In September 2021, at 21 years old, Mingus was arrested for assaulting a 24-year-old woman in New York, as reported by the NYPD's Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.

The young model told his version of the story to The New York Daily News. Mingus said that there were a group of girls who "swarmed me, with one pulling my hair from the back, another throwing water in my face."

In the same statement to The New York Daily News, he said that the five people involved "kept following us, threatening to hurt my girlfriend and her friend; it was very apparent that these girls were under the influence and looking for a fight."

Despite his explanation about what had happened that day, Mingus Lucien Reedus was charged with misdemeanor assault and had to go to court.

Isabelle Kishner, Reedus' attorney, was convinced that her client was "the victim in this incident" and fought to have the charges downgraded to disorderly conduct.

However, that incident is now a thing of the past. Mingus is determined to focus on his career as a model.

But we want to go a step further: Could he now also try to succeed in the acting industry like his father? We'd certainly love to see it.
