Hopes for a recovery, but lung cancer won out

Rene explained that people had been asking about his dad but he had avoided speaking about it. “We kept it private. We thought he was going to fully recover, but unfortunately, he didn’t. Now hopefully, he’s up there in heaven with my mom, dancing again, with no more pain.”

"Anybody that knows my dad knows he’s laughing somewhere right now because he’s a rock star, and he loves the attention," said Rene laughing.
