Celebrity weddings in 2023: Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup

Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup said "I do" to each other on the weekend of June 10th, 2023. Their civil wedding was a 'secret' because only family and close friends were in attendance. They didn't announce their union on social media until after the fact.

The wedding took place in New York City, and the 'King Kong' actress posted a photo from her wedding on Instagram. She and her husband appear on the steps of a courthouse with big smiles. "Hitched!" was the caption she put next to the image.

For this special day, Naomi Watts, 54, wore an Oscar de la Renta dress that made her look stunning. According to ¡Hola!, it cost just over 8,000 dollars. The actress said in a comment on Oscar de la Renta's Instagram page: "I felt my absolute best."

"The bride wore Oscar. @naomiwatts is the picture of elegance in the #odlrprefall2023 water lily guipure dress for her New York City nuptials," the designer's Instagram account read.

Besides wearing a 'modestly priced' dressed and getting hitched at City Hall, the actress also picked up her bridal bouquet at a deli that day. Very down to earth!

Among the guests was actor Mark Ruffalo. "Congratulations on the nuptials @NaomiWatts and Billy Crudup. We love you guys," the actor wrote on Instagram alongside this photo.

Naomi and Billy fell in love while filming the Netflix mystery 'Gypsy' (2017), a series that was not renewed despite its popularity.

In the series 'Gypsy' they played a seemingly happy marriage. Watts, who plays the psychologist Jean Holloway, oversteps the boundaries of patient-therapist and begins to maintain complicated relationships with the people who make up the environment of their patients.

The actors didn't confirm their relationship until a few years later, when they attended the SAG Awards together and appeared hand-in-hand on the red carpet.

Their relationship has been quiet since 2017. They consolidated their love every day and now finally signed the papers.

Strikingly, this is the first marriage of the two actors, even though each of them has children from a previous relationship.

Billy had a son with 'Weeds' actress Mary Louise Parker, while Naomi has two teenage children with Liev Schreiber.

They met at the 2005 Met Gala, and after a few months of dating, they moved in together, Naomi moving to New York to be with him. Two years later they had their first child Sasha, and the following year their second child Samuel.

After 11 years of relationship, the couple broke up. Through a statement together, in an interview for People they declared "Over the past few months we’ve come to the conclusion that the best way forward for us as a family is to separate as a couple, it is with great love, respect, and friendship in our hearts that we look forward to raising our children together and exploring this new phase of our relationship."

Their relationship began in 1996 and ended in 2003 after a somewhat messy situation, when Bill decided to leave Mary-Louise Parker, to start dating Claire Danes, all this happened while Parker was 7 months pregnant with their child.

As far as the media can report, the children and parents all get along wonderfully, so harmony will certainly continue to reign in the household of the two lovers.
