In 2023 we say goodbye to several other series that have been fun to watch on platforms like Netflix, HBO Max, Prime Video, Apple TV, and Disney+. Some of these series are releasing their last season, while others were simply canceled after the previous one.

The Handmaid's Tale

One of the most successful series of recent times brings its sixth season as its last. Although the last few seasons haven't been as popular as the first, fans have continued to follow the dystopia of Gilead.

From the creators of 'Dark,' Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese, many thought that this series would become a long-lasting masterpiece. But nothing of the sort. The audience wasn't too keen on it and, surprisingly, Netflix decided to cancel this show after just one season.

The Umbrella Academy

In August 2022, Netflix announced that they were renewing this peculiar but fascinating show about a family of underdog superheroes. 'The Umbrella Academy' will have a fourth and last season. Although we don't know the release date, it is rumored that the season will arrive at the end of 2023.

Carnival Row

After four years of waiting, Amazon Prime released the second season of 'Carnival Row.' The show, starring Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne, is set in a dark, neo-Victorian, and futuristic town. Unfortunately, the second will also be the last season of the series.

Star Trek: Picard

The platforms Paramount+ and Amazon Prime have both released the third and last season of 'Star Trek: Picard.' In the last part of the series, the protagonists embark on a dangerous rescue mission after receiving a message from an old colleague of the Enterprise.

The Flash

After eight seasons, the story of one of the most iconic DC characters will come to an end. In 2023, the ninth season of the HBO Max show (that was an 'Arrow' spin-off), created by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns, will form a goodbye to all its fans.

Firefly Lane

The unbreakable bond between the two best friends, Tully and Kate, will no longer be documented. Netflix announced that the December 2022 season of 'Firefly Lane' was in fact the last one of the series.

Hunters

The second and last season of Amazon's Al Pacino-led show, 'Hunters,' was released in January 2023. The show followed a group of Nazi hunters in '70s New York who discover that some important Nazi figures are trying to install the Fourth Reich in the United States.

Jack Ryan

The Amazon Prime spy thriller (created by Graham Roland and Carlton Cuse) says goodbye with its fourth season in 2023. John Krasinski is the protagonist of the show, which released its third season on December 21, 2022.

Manifest

Another Netflix show that says farewell in 2023. After five years, the series about the supernatural flight 828 of Montego Air will be landing its fourth and final season.

Never Have I Ever

This coming-of-age comedy tells the story of a girl with Indian origins in the United States. The show, inspired by the teen years of Mindy Kaling (producer and writer of the series) will have its fourth and final season in 2023.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

The Amazon Prime show created by Amy Sherman-Palladino was praised equally by audiences and critics. After four successful seasons, this year the platform will release the fifth and last season of the series.

Nancy Drew

The CW/HBO show about a teen detective (played by Kennedy McCann) who gets drawn into a crime, will finish in 2023 with its fourth season. In the last part of the series, all the mysteries should be resolved.

Paper Girls

The Amazon Prime series (based on the comics by Cliff Chiang and Brian K. Vaughan) tells the story of four girls who have to time travel to save the world just a few hours after Halloween night in 1988. In September 2022, Amazon announced that there wouldn't be a second season to this adventure.

Another comic adaptation; in this case, 'Riverdale.' It's an Archie Comics mystery and teen drama story that became a global sensation. However, the series has become less popular over time, and the seventh season is said to be the last one.

Snowpiercer

'Snowpiercer' is Graeme Manson's adaptation of another comic by Jean-Marc Rochette and Jacques Loeb. The Netflix science-fiction show is set in a frozen dystopic future and stars Jennifer Connelly and Daveed Diggs. The fourth season is said to be the last one of the series.

Servant

This Apple+ show produced by M. Night Shyamalan and created by Tony Bagallop tells the story of a couple dealing with a terrible loss when suddenly a strange caretaker enters their lives. This supernatural horror series (starring Rupert Grint) released its fourth and last season in January 2023.

This Italian HBO series created by Saverio Costanzo is co-produced by the RAI public channel in Italy. The show ends in 2023 after four seasons.

A Million Little Things
