It could be an unusual colour for 2024

What will be the color of 2024 when it comes to fashion? The New York Times asked several experts and they ruled that the color brown will be seen a lot on the catwalks and in the shop windows. An unusual color for the forefront of fashion, but, according to some analysts, will be a stylistic norm in 2024.

Black for Summer

But there will be more fashionable colors in 2024 and, for example, according to Vogue, the color black will burst into the summer season even though we generally associate it with cooler weather.

Aprons - a must-have fashion item

Vogue also predicts that we will be wearing aprons (see image) that will become a fashion statement beyond the kitchen.

Zendaya

Three big titles for 2024 ('Dune 2', 'Challengers', and the sequel to 'Euphoria') make Zendaya, once again, one of the biggest names on the screen to watch out for.

The rise of concerts

Live music, more specifically concerts, has always been something that moved the masses. But after the pandemic, we have been living a real madness: full stadiums, tickets that are sold out frantically, and a multi-million dollar business on the rise. It is set to continue.

Back to the 80s (again?)

Among the analysts consulted by The New York Times, a return to the inexhaustible decade of the 80s as an aesthetic reference is once again mentioned. Nothing new there. The 80s will never die.

Polo boom

Vogue assures the world that the polo shirt will be the summer garment in all its variations.

Emma Stone

Another actress who will be very much around in 2024, is Emma Stone - reaping the rewards of her amazing work in 'Poor Things', a film in which she plays a sort of Frankenstein's monster.

The trendiest destination in 2024

Mongolia will be the new hot destination in 2024, according to Lonely Planet. Endless horizons, vast grasslands, and authenticity.

Return to India

Lonely Planet also assures that India will re-emerge as a destination with new routes outside the most commonly known places.

Veganism to continue its success

Eating a vegan diet continues to be a trend that grows and grows. Aside from that, in 2024, according to some analysts, there is also another type of gastronomy that is on the rise...

African cuisines to discover

Gastronomies from places in Africa such as Ethiopia or Eritrea are becoming popular in cities like New York. This trend is likely to go global in large cities.

Dystopia

Dystopian dramas (such as 'Leave the World Behind', on Netflix, with Julia Roberts and Mahersala Ali) will continue to rocket. The end of the world continues to unsettle us after a pandemic that left us in shock and the irruption of Artificial Intelligence.

Nomadism

The movement of the so-called 'digital nomads' (professionals who can work online remotely and travel during work periods - or settle in the city of their choice) will continue to be a trend.

Crisis?

Economists have been talking about a possible crisis for some time now, although they believe it will come in the form of a mild slowdown. For the time being, and to the surprise of media such as The Economist (which headlined 'Economists had a terrible 2023' because of the error of their forecasts), the world economy is working, even with wars and climate crisis.

Peace

It is more a wish than a prognosis: that peace becomes a global trend and that the tragic armed conflicts we suffer from, cease.
