Cinderella – 3rd September (Amazon)

Kay Cannon's musical version of the classic fairy tale, starring Camila Cabello, Idina Menzel, Minnie Driver, Nicholas Galitzine, Billy Porter and Pierce Brosnan. The remake is a modern jump from the original where now the lead character is a fashion designer and the focus is on the question, 'Do we really need a Prince Charming?'

Money Heist (S5, volume 1) – 3rd September (Netflix)

The gang has been in the Bank of Spain for 100 hours now and the Professor is in danger. What's worse, a new enemy is approaching: the army. Lucifer (S6) – 10th September (Netflix)

The final season in the Lucifer franchise. How will it end? No one is really sure yet but what we do know, thanks to the actors revealing in interviews, that its going to be a tear-jerker. Producer of the show, Joe Henderson said we can expect “Bittersweet endings, tears and joy and a fitting goodbye to the characters we love so much.”

Malignant – 10th September (HBO Max)

This horror and suspense film is one of the most anticipated releases by "The Conjuring" fans, because it is directed by the same James Wan. The story will follow Madison, a woman who dreams of murders. Her life turns complicated when she discovers that these visions are real events that she can see for some unknown reason.

In the film, which stars Sydney Sweeney, Justice Smith and Ben Hardy, a couple move into their dream flat and don't know just how far they push things when they start spying on their neighbours. What started as a game turns into an obsession that will have serious consequences.

The Starling - 14th September (Netflix)

Lilly (played by Melissa McCarthy) must discover her need to keep going and giving her life worth after suffering a tragic loss. The little starling that comes to nestle by her window is not that trigger. At first. However, after becoming pretty much obsessed with killing the bird, she confronts her problems.

Jack Whitehall: Travels with my Father (S5) - 14th September Netflix

A hilarious show that follows comedian Jack Whitehall and his 'stuffy' father on trips around the globe. The pair definitely don't see eye-to-eye on many things and it makes for fantastic television.

Schumacher – 15th September (Netflix)

Documentary that explores the life of Michael Schumacher and his 'multilayered personalities'. The film shows the Formula 1 icon from Karting in Kerpen to his retirement from racing in 2012, then the tragic story of how he suffered severe injuries in a skiing accident in 2013, from which he continues to recover from at home.

Everybody's Talking About Jamie – 17th September (Amazon)

Inspired by a true story, "Everybody's Talking About Jamie" is an adaptation of the award-winning musical of the same name. Max Harwood, Richard E. Grant and Sharon Horgan star in the film. The film depicts the life of Jamie, a young man who dreams of becoming a drag queen, but who will have to overcome many obstacles and prejudices in order to do so.

Star Wars: Visions - 22nd September (Disney Plus)

Just as Marvel have gone into 2D animation with 'What if...?', the Star Wars franchise has followed in its footsteps. It will comprise of 9 short anime-style films, giving a completely different cultural perspective to the 'Star Wars' we know today.

Doom Patrol (S3) – 23rd September (HBO)

Each member of the Doom Patrol suffered a horrific accident that gave them superhuman abilities, but also left them scarred and disfigured. They turned into a band of super-powered monsters fighting for a world that really wants nothing to do with them. This side of the Atlantic, the series airs on StarzPlay, which can be accessed via Amazon Prime Video or the Apple TV app. Seasons one and two are already currently available to view on StarzPlay.
