The Global Wedding Report of 2023 collected interesting information on the subject, including the most contracted services and the numbers of guests per party in each national culture.
In terms of spending money on the Big Day, the world champion is the USA.
People in the USA spend an average of 30 thousand dollars per wedding.

India is also the country where there is the greatest variation in wedding costs. The educated middle class spends on average 25 thousand dollars on a wedding. (The report shows data in US dollars, with 2022 conversion rates.)
However, for 15% of the weddings celebrated in the country, the expenditure is as high as 45 thousand dollars.

Continuing the list of countries that invest the most in dream parties, we have a three-way tie, with the United Kingdom, Italy, and Spain. The average expense for each is 23 thousand dollars.

To cover all these expenses, couples in Latin America face a real economic challenge. In many cases, they are forced to reduce the number of guests and increase the budget.
With so many details and a considerable budget, the average time spent organizing a wedding, in Portugal, Spain, Italy, and Brazil, is 11 to 12 months.

The union between two people does not always include a religious ceremony. In the United Kingdom, for example, this happens in just 22% of marriages. In Italy, Colombia, Portugal, Mexico, Brazil, and Peru, religion is a fundamental part of the ceremony, in 50% of weddings held.
Throwing a bouquet continues to be common in Latin America, common in more than two-thirds of weddings. In Europe, the leader is Portugal, which includes the bouquet in 77% of ceremonies, while in the United Kingdom, it appears in only 12% of cases.
Having friends in common is one of the main factors that bring couples together. In Italy, this happened in 27% of the cases analyzed, followed by Spain (31%), Portugal (27%), France (27%) and Brazil (24%).
Online cupid (dating sites and apps) is responsible for 32% of marriage unions in the USA and Canada.
