Nowadays, the media appear to be more interested in her personal life or the events she attends than in her work. However, Jessica Alba is undoubtedly one of the greatest actresses of recent decades.

We may not have seen Jessica Alba at work for a while. And yet, according to the American business magazine Forbes, she is at the head of a lucrative company worth more than $911 million. As it turns out, she didn't need to be in front of the camera to become one of the richest women in Hollywood! Let's have a look.

In 2007, scientists concluded after a study that Jessica Alba was the perfect and most beautiful woman in the world. It was at a time when she was fashionable. But, as strange as it may seem, she always felt that her physique was holding her back in her career!

Because of her mixed-race background (her father is Mexican and her mother has Danish and French-Canadian ancestry), she was always offered roles as an "exotic woman." As she has admitted in several interviews, she grew tired of being "the girl in the bikini."

It was through starring in the well-known TV series 'Dark Angel' and big-budget films like 'Sin City' and 'Fantastic Four' that she was able to break away from the clichéd roles she had been used to until then.

Suddenly, she dropped everything and changed the course of her professional life, while she was the most sought-after actress in Hollywood, filming one after the other!

The police series 'L.A.'s Finest' between 2019 and 2020, the Martin Owen film 'Killers Anonymous' (2019), and 'Trigger Warning' (2024) are the latest productions in which Jessica Alba has participated.

Her health problems and her desire to spend more time with her children were the reasons for her departure from Hollywood.

Asthma, chronic allergies, pneumonia several times a year, appendicitis, and even a tonsil cyst caused her to spend long periods in hospital when she was little.

Jessica Alba gave up everything to be closer to her children because of her childhood memories. While she was suffering from all these health problems, her mother was sick too. Unfortunately, she suffered from cancer.

In 2004, on the set of 'Fantastic Four', Jessica Alba met Cash Warren, the son of actor Michael Warren. She married him four years later, and her whole life changed when their first child was born: their daughter Honor.

She explained her choice to leave the spotlight to digital magazine 'Romper' in 2021. "I had this moment of truth: I want to live and thrive, spend as much time as possible with this little person that I'm going to bring into the world and stay with her. So my health is important. I want her to be healthy. And it's really hard to be happy when you're not healthy."

She then launched a range of products that were completely free of allergens or other harmful substances. "I was like, ‘There's a child inside here, what if she is allergic to everything like I was?" she said in an interview with the British branch of the monthly women's magazine 'Glamour'.

Haven Garner Warren, her second daughter, was born in 2011. Then it was the turn of Hayes Alba Warren, her third child, a little boy, to see the light of day at the end of 2017.

"The Honest Company" was founded in 2012, after the Californian actress starred in 'Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World.'

It appears that Jessica Alba has taken some important turns in her life in the past few years. If we want to see her on screen, we will watch her old movies. Instead, she has now become an example of courage and audacity.
