So many great summer themed movies

The 90's was a great decade for movies and in particular summer based films. We take a look at a few 90's summer films that made a mark.

The Man in the Moon (1991)

The film follows the story of two sisters, Dani (Reese Witherspoon, image) and Maureen (Emily Warfield), who live with their parents on a farm in Louisiana. In the summer of 1957, the widow Marie Foster and her son, Court (Jason Foster, image), arrive in the town.

Envy between sisters

Court and Maureen are the same age, and more than just a friendship grows between them. It arouses the jealousy of Dani (image), who dreams of one day being as popular as her older sister.

My Girl (1991)

The story is set in the summer of 1972 and follows the life of Vada Sultenfuss (Anna Chlumsky), an eleven-year-old hypochondriac with a difficult-to-manage widower father. Not only is he a funeral director, but he has complicated tastes. The relationship between Vada and her dad changes when Shelly DeVoto enters their lives. She's a make-up artist who begins to work alongside her father.

The saddest scene in 90s cinema

Things become complicated when Shelly’s ex-husband shows up. But of course, the most heartbreaking part of the movie has to do with Vada's little friend, Thomas (Macaulay Culkin).

The Crush (1993)

The handsome, young bachelor Nick Eliot (Cary Elwes) moves to the city of Seattle to turn his life around. There he meets young Darian, a capricious girl played by Alicia Silverstone.
