‘Squid Game’ can be counted as Netflix’s best TV series in 2021. The Guardian and other media have reported that the show topped global viewer counts. For those who haven't seen it, the show is about a deadly secret contest where participants get roped into games and risk their lives for money.
Spoiler alert! 'Squid Game 2' will continue where the first 'Squid Game' left off. Lee Jung-jae reprises his role as Seong Gi-hun, winner of the previous Squid Game. He is on a mission to end the hosting of the deadly Squid Games, as hinted in the final episode of season 1.
Other than Lee Jung-jae, Elle reports that Lee Byung-hun and Wi Ha-jun will also be reprising their roles from the prequel. They play the Front Man and the disguised police officer, respectively.
As ‘Squid Game 2’ will be based not just on Seong Gi-hun’s revenge but also on an entirely new round of death games, a new ensemble of characters is coming to the show, Entertainment Weekly reports.
