Taylor Swift reveals her political preference

One of the biggest American stars of the moment has spoken out about her political preference. Taylor Swift announced on September 10, 2024, that she was going to vote for Kamala Harris.

Response to a fake endorsement of Trump

The billionaire singer explained her decision in a lengthy Instagram post. She responded to a fake message on social media implying that she had a preference for Republican Donald Trump. "I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth," she stated.

Swift endorses Harris and Walz

"I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election," the star continued. "I’m voting for kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them."

Addressing younger voters

Taylor Swift has a lot of young fans and clearly addressed those who may have turned 18 recently and will be able to vote for the first time. "I've done my research, and I’ve made my choice. Your research is all yours to do, and the choice is yours to make," she said. She added: "Remember that in order to vote, you have to be registered! I also find it's much easier to vote early. I'll link where to register and find early voting dates and info in my story."
