Chris Evans gets married in secret

It's official: Chris Evans is off the market! The Marvel hero has taken the big step to say the long-awaited 'yes, I do' in a secret ceremony.

The woman who stole Chris Evans' heart

The 42-year-old Evans begins a new stage in his life with his now-wife Alba Baptista, the 26-year-old Portuguese actress and star of the Netflix series 'Warrior Nun.'

An intimate wedding

According to Page Six magazine, Evans and Baptista, who have been in a relationship for almost two years, had an intimate ceremony with family and friends only. They imposed strict confidentiality rules to their loved ones in order to preserve the moment.

Almost two years together

The couple kept everyone in suspense by not commenting on the ceremony or posting on social media about it. Chris Evans had actually closed his profiles during the summer to take a breather, something that surely was tremendously beneficial to the organization of his secret wedding. As of now, no images of the ceremony have been leaked.

Strict confidentiality

Page Six reports that the wedding took place in the couple's house in Boston, Massachusetts. It was very discreet and low-profile, requiring the guests to sign a confidentiality agreement and removing their phones during the ceremony.

Superheroes attended the wedding

Evans' adventure companions could not be missing at the wedding. According to a source in Page Six, the ceremony was attended by Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, and Jeremy Renner.

He had already given clues...

For now, Chris Evans has not commented on the matter, but a little digging shows that he had already given clues about his plans - specifically, in People magazine last November.

His wish

"That's absolutely something I want," he had said, "Wife, kids, building a family. ... I can't think of anything better."

What really matters

"When you read about most of the best artists, whether it's actors, painters, writers, most of them [admit] it wasn't the work they made [that they are most proud of], it was about the relationships, the families they created, the love they found, the love they shared."

A dream come true

We can now say it was a clear statement of what was to come in the life of the actor. In 2023, he finally saw one of his greatest desires fulfilled.
