Remember the cliffhanger from the third season?

The third season concluded at a particularly tough moment for Emily (spoiler alert):

It seems Emily and Gabriel can finally be together... but there's the small matter of Camille being pregnant.

What about Alfie?

In the new episodes, questions will be addressed such as whether Alfie is still heartbroken from losing her, if Gabriel secures the coveted Michelin star, whether Mindy and her band will go to Eurovision, whether Sylvie reconnects with a past love, and, of course, whether Emily and Gabriel end up together.

And as always, the anticipated moral

It appears the season's central theme will be Emily having to decide if everything she has always wanted is truly what she needs.

The cast

Of course, Lily Collins will return as Emily and it’s very likely that the main cast from the third season will also return. This includes Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie), Ashley Park (Mindy), Camille Razat (Camille), Samuel Arnold (Julien), Bruno Gouery (Luc), William Abadie (Antoine Lambert), and Lucas Bravo (Gabriel).

Those who (maybe) won’t return

Following events in the previous season, it seemed Lucien Laviscount (Alfie) would leave the series, but creator Darren Starr hinted he might return. Almost certainly not returning is Kate Walsh (Madeline), as her character has already contributed all she could to the series.

Will it be the last season?

This season is likely the last. Despite being one of Netflix’s most popular series, it's uncommon for the network to renew shows for many seasons. The fourth installment could be the opportunity to conclude while still maintaining strong viewership.

The stumbles of the first season

Despite initial controversies, including the stereotypical portrayal of the French, the series managed to ride the waves and achieve excellent viewership ratings...

It also didn’t make sense for Emily to have such an important position at her age

But once the audience overlooked these "minor" details and succumbed to the charm of Lily Collins, Paris, and the rest of the cast, the series rapidly gained popularity.

What makes the Netflix hit series unique

Besides the story of a young American woman succeeding in Paris thanks to her smarts and despite her lack of language skills and clumsiness in certain social situations; the costume design, production design, and beautiful locations make the series irrestiable.
