Macaulay Culkin and his wife, actress Brenda Song, welcomed their first child in April 2021: Dakota Song Culkin.

The girl was named after Dakota Culkin, the actor's older sister, who died at age 29 in 2008.

To the shock of her family, Macaulay's sister was run over by a car in Los Angeles. She'd been walking along the pavement when she took a wrong step across the road and got hit by a car. The driver was going at normal speed and tested negative for substances.

Culkin got the idea for the documentary series after a tweet about his 40th birthday went viral. The actor likes to remind people of the fact that time goes fast, and he made no exception on the day he turned 40. His announcement caused a sensation on Twitter.

"Hey guys, wanna feel old?" he wrote on August 26, 2020. "I'm 40. You're welcome."

He added: "It's my gift to the world: I make people feel old. I'm no longer a kid, that's my job."

On December 1, 2023, Macaulay Culkin was recognized for his contribution to showbiz with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His long career and the lasting impact of 'Home Alone' were the reason for the honor.
