Matt Smith

Matt Smith is class. The actor, most famous for his roles in 'The Crown' and 'House of the Dragon' oozes elegance. His 'minimalist chic' style has turned heads both on the red carpet and when out and about, making him number one on our list of best-dressed men. He can do suave, he can do stylish and he can do cool - all with minimum effort.

Tom Holland

The on-screen Spiderman has taken a hint or two from his superhero environment, wearing outfits replicating that of an off-duty superhero. The young actor pretty much reflects his character and personality in all that he wears, along with the cross-culture life he has led, causing him to mix 'London chic' with 'laid-back LA'. And he does it well.

John Legend

The king of soul, king of outerwear, and, arguably, the king of suiting up. Legend has a number of fashion designers lining up to see him walk their creations down the red carpet - he can pull about anything off. Admitting to GQ magazine, style is something the 'All of Me' singer takes very seriously, saying, "I'm always conscious about how I look. I care as much about how I look on stage as how I look when I go out to the grocery store."

Timothée Chalamet

Perhaps a lot of why Timothée Chalamet makes such an incredible fashion icon is due to his skinny physique and fierce, symmetrical face. But he didn’t win GQ’s Best Dressed Man simply due to his looks. Jo Ellison, editor of Financial Times How To Spend It, said, "Chalamet doesn’t flinch from wearing tricky fashion choices. He has the gift of sartorial insouciance and is never overwhelmed by his clothes."

Dacre Montgomery

How about this Australian fashion icon! "If ever there were a guy poised to roll up to a party wearing a white suit and slicked-back hair, it's a 22-year-old, blond, blue-eyed Australian actor named Dacre Montgomery," GQ said in 2017. The 'Stranger Things' actor from Perth is known for his classy two-pieces, striking but matching accessories and his perfectly groomed moustache. The suit you see here (at the 2018 MTV Movie Awards) is made of linen... daring!

Harry Styles

Harry Styles is currently the most Googled male fashion icon in Australia, according to research by 'Money.' The British pop singer teamed up with Gucci, who proclaim they are ‘outrageous and wearable,’ and was rightly chosen to be an ambassador of their tailored campaign. The necklace he wore at the 2020 Brit Awards is particularly well known. He's also a big fan of the feather boa in any color available.

Zayn Malik

Close on Harry’s heels we have another former One Direction band member, Zayn. He may have disappeared from the spotlight recently but he always looked very effortless in skinny jeans and some leather. He regularly makes a statement, like he did last time out with Gigi Hadid when he wore Bode’s green patchwork jacket. Malik has sported Luis Vuitton blazers, matched outfits with his girlfriend, and even bleached his hair for the Paris fashion week. We want more.

EXO star Kai

Kai, the K-Pop band EXO's lead singer and dancer, is a huge influencer on today’s fashion, music, and young crowds. He steps out in pure, contemporary, Korean style. In his capsule collection for Gucci, sophistication mixes with experimental and futuristic fits, layers, and accessories. Kai never fails to dazzle his fans. Luke Day, Editor, GQ Style, and Fashion Director: “I was so enamored with Kai when I worked with him; his personal style is so inspiring and unique. He’s a real trailblazer and makes brave, bold choices that I really resonate with.”

Mahershala Ali

One of the greatest actors of our time (actually ranked 23 last year in the New York Times Greatest Actors of the 21st Century), Mahershala Ali always looks smooth. In fact, he even managed to ‘formalize’ the beanie that he wore to the awards ceremony and intrigued the world when he accepted his second Oscar. Intrigue was closely followed by awe as viewers realized that this man could pull off a beanie with a suit and still look really good. He rocks a suit and pairs his outfits with surprising accessories and colors. Watch out for more swagger in the future.

V (Kim Taehyung)

A stickler for detail, BTS’s band member is incredibly careful about his choices when it comes to fashion. Everything counts, including small embellishments and the way a shirt button is fastened, or not. He rocks bandanas and berets and is a big fan of colored stripes, creating a playful and casual street look. Of course, he does dressing down just as well as he dresses up with a romantic and delicate style on the red carpet and at award shows. He sports ruffles and neck accessories to give him this old-fashioned, yet timeless look that everyone goes crazy for. Absolutely watch this name in fashion from now on.

Charlie Heaton

We all recognize Charlie Heaton and his girlfriend, Natalia Dyer, from the hit TV show, 'Stranger Things', but he has found himself in the spotlight for more than just his acting abilities. In fact, both Heaton and Dyer are always looking suave and chic whether dressing for awards ceremonies or just an amble down the street. They appear on red carpets looking elegant and cool with a classic art-deco feel. It has been said that Heaton 'dresses like Harry Styles if Harry Styles were reading English at Cambridge.'

Frank Ocean

Frank Ocean quite simply just likes what he likes. An understated, unique dresser, there is no doubt that Ocean makes it on this list for his individual style and for wearing sometimes unknown brands while everyone else sports high fashion designers. Frank Ocean is vintage and has proved he can rock anything, from an all-black Prada suit to a green 70’s turtle neck long-sleeved T-shirt, to oversized bright yellow bomber jackets. Even a green baby accessory...

Richard Madden

Actor Richard Madden has this incredible elegant aura. Many people can pull off a suit but Madden somehow creates a presence in whatever he wears and that is why he has made it to the 2021 icons list. Famous for his roles in 'Game of Thrones' and 'Eternals', he has shown time and time again that he looks great at a red carpet event, even bagging the GQ’s Hugo Boss award for Most Stylish Man. When he’s not walking down a red carpet, he sports a relaxed jeans, t-shirt and boots look, yet still somehow manages to look completely charming.

Skepta

Skepta, a musician from Tottenham in North London not only sports the London Look: he IS the London Look. 2021 will bring great things for Skepta, having already shown he can pull off anything from tailored Burberry to Nike tracksuits and showing up at events in designers such as Ambush (a cutting-edge Korean designer) and Nazir Mazhar, proving he is setting the trend, not following it. Gary Armstrong, Senior Fashion Editor, GQ Style: "Skepta isn’t just the coolest man in British music, he’s also fast becoming the coolest man in fashion."

Eddie Redmayne

On and off the red carpet, Eddie Redmayne does the ‘Prep’ style so well, he deserves a mention on this list. The actor, famous for his roles in 'Les Miserables', 'Fantastic Beasts' and 'The Danish Girl', is a classic style icon and generally a very well-dressed gentleman. He wears a blazer with complete style and class, looks totally smooth in sharp, tailored suits, and has an enormous range of sophisticated knitwear and cardigans. He has been up there with the top elegantly dressed men for years.

David Beckham

David Beckham is a National Treasure and a treasure to all things fashion. Throughout the previous decades, Beckham has set the trend for others to follow and has matured to leading the way with his elegant dad-chic look both in front of and away from the camera. He looked every inch worth his role as an ambassador for the British Fashion Council when he attended Victoria’s London Fashion Week presentation in September 2020 and wore an eye-catching, all-black, oversized Dior parka teamed with socks and sandals. Mr. Beckham always turns up in style.

Travis Scott

Rockstar meets streetwear when musician Travis Scott is around. He blends different fashions so well, they look like they were always meant to be. Yes, he has his favorite brands such as Vetements and Gosha Rubchinskiy, but what makes Travis Scott’s style so sought after is that, aside from the extravagant bling, it is easily attainable for anyone. Denim, camouflage, hoodies, and oversized jackets are paired with leather trousers, joggers, trainers, or sandals, adorned with accessories such as caps, chains, and his favorite Rolex watch. Pretty much anything goes with Travis Scott and he keeps the public always wanting more.

Drake

Drake made loungewear a fashion trend. He loves different patterned jumpers and of course he knows how to rock sports t-shirts and a jacket. The Canadian rapper, producer and songwriter doesn’t just do cool, chill-out-chic, however and when he gets dressed up at events he proves he can be equally elegant and smooth in well-fitted waistcoats and tailored suit jackets. He is certainly a man with ‘swag’.

Ryan Reynolds

Ryan Reynolds, the Canadian Deadpool actor, is an icon, not because he makes big, bold fashion statements, but because he rocks understated elegance. Even dressed in basics such as chinos, sweatshirts, and zip-up bomber jackets, Ryan Reynolds makes everything look so effortless. Of course, everyone knows Ryan Reynolds looks pure class in a suit. You will often see him sporting a cardigan underneath his suit instead of a waistcoat, giving the appearance of a three-piece suit but giving it that slightly more relaxed feel. Reynolds will never be seen completely relaxed, however, and you won’t see him wearing loungewear. He told Esquire magazine, “it’s an old-fashioned quality of mine, I have to stick to proper shirts and trousers if I go outside.”

Michael B Jordan

Michael B Jordan, the face of the luxury brand COACH has always dressed well and has never had a need to change his refined yet street look. Michael loves an overcoat, probably aware that the outer layer of clothing is the one people see first. He wears coats with bright and bold street colors, interesting cuts, and long down-to-the-knee styles. His muscly body shape shouldn’t lend itself to fine suits but his are tailored so well that they give him a leaner look and he always steps out with elegant energy.

Anderson Paak

You may be thinking about how the name rings a bell. Anderson Paak is a singer, rapper, and songwriter who has brought back the early-naughties style with flair. Wearing colors with psychedelic patterns in lime greens and bold pinks, he dons a fusion of street, hip-hop, and funk styles. Completely fearless, his wardrobe clearly reflects his incredibly energetic charisma. Alexander Fury, a menswear critic for the Financial Times said about Paak, “There’s a boldness to his sartorial choices. It’s the opposite of not caring, but at the same time, it isn’t too studied. The art of caring just enough is a very fine tightrope that he balances with aplomb and without falling into ridiculousness. Plus, he always seems to be having a good time.”

Tyler, The Creator

Well, obviously Tyler, The Creator, is destined to be on this list. In fact, just his hair makes its own fashion statement. He made a bold move when he showed off his dyed, leopard print hair at the Grammys in 2018 and has also donned blonde wigs in both on-stage appearances and his music videos. He has his own label, Golf Wang, which showcases his golf and tennis-inspired casual wear. He isn’t keeping up with the times. He is the times. The Fashion Director at British GQ Style, Elgar Johnson commented on his trends, “Tyler, The Creator is exactly that: a creator of his own style. He challenges fashion in the best way and he has built a cult status in the same way as the brilliant André 3000 before him.”

Rami Malek

Rami Malek is a professional at posting his looks on Instagram. He looks fabulous in double-breasted coats, suits, open shirts, and even strong patterned knitwear. He masters smart-casual and definitely sports a look that many would like to pull off so well. Rami Malek shot to fame for his incredible transformations on screen, portraying Freddie Mercury in the epic movie 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and now he is making it into the public eye for his style as well. Another one to watch.

David Gandy

David Gandy could possibly be one of the world’s most handsome men but, as a style icon, he still fits into ‘the ones to watch for the future’ category, mainly due to his collaboration with so many leading brands. He has an impeccable, high-class taste and shows just how to dress like a gentleman. Away from fashion week and his modeling career, he sports a more relaxed look and has a touch of old-school rebelliousness, wearing ripped jeans and bomber jackets.

Tinie Tempah

Englishman Tinie Tempah wears Burberry tailored suits, huge overcoats, tribal prints, and pretty much anything he likes… and he always looks good. He makes an effort to attend many fashion shows and he rocks up looking every inch fashion icon. From Gucci Floral Prints to Coach bomber jackets and vintage Farah printed shirts and shorts combinations, Mr. Tinie is constantly surprising the fashion industry.
