To the surprise of his  fans and colleagues, the South Korean actor Jung Woo-sung recently admitted to being the father of model Moon Ga-bi's son. Both of them are now facing attention,more so because Jung Woo-sung allegedly cheated on his partner. Here is the rundown of how the scandal progressed.

In a sudden twist of events, actor Jung Woo-sung was reported by Nate to have suddenly revealed himself to be the father of Moon Ga-bi's child through his agency, which sparked a massive scandal.

According to Koreaboo, the South Korean investigative news agency Dispatch had revealed Jung Woo-sung as the father of Moon Ga-bi's first child. It was only after the exposé that the actor had admitted and confirmed through his agency that he was indeed the father of the child.

Nate explains other than acknowledging Moon Ga-bi's child as his, Jung Woo-sung added that he “will take full responsibility” of the child, and is in the middle of discussions regarding how to “raise the child” with Moon Ga-bi , and that the two have “maintained a close relationship since 2022”.

Since Jung Woo-sung had publicly acknowledged Moon Ga-bi's child as his, Korea JoongAng Daily reports that the child is legally entitled to Jung Woo-sung's inheritance, and will be legally registered in the actor's family relationship certificate.

Allkpop also adds that other than her child being legally entitled to Jung Woo-sung's assets, Moon Ga-bi is also expected to receive monthly child support payments from the actor, which are estimated to be around 2 to 3 million Korean won.

The scandal evolved into a focus on Jung Woo-sung's love life. This led to much backlash for the actor, as more details were uncovered about his past relationships and interviews regarding his attitude towards dating.

This was because it was reported by TenAsia that Moon Ga-bi had initially wanted to get married to Jung Woo-sung since the conception of the child, but the actor was reportedly “strongly against the idea of ​​marriage”, which then sparked huge backlash amongst South Korean netizens.

Koreaboo reports that netizens have unearthed information regarding Jung Woo-sung's love life, where he had expressed a preference for “age-gap relationships” and approval of “one-night stands.”

The same report from Koreaboo continues with how it was exposed that Jung Woo-sung had been involved with a non-celebrity woman who was born in 1998 at the time that he had gotten involved with Moon Ga-bi, meaning that he had cheated on his relationship with the non-celebrity. For context, the actor was born in 1973.

Maeil Business News reports that the entertainment news journalist and YouTuber Lee Jin-ho had also uploaded a video expose on Jung Woo-sung, stating that the actor is also currently secretly married to an accountant where he had been in a relationship for 10 years.

Adding to this, Koreaboo reports that Jung Woo-sung's marriage with the accountant was rumored to be part of a plot to get full custody of Moon Ga-bi's child, as custody would automatically be given to the married party with a family in South Korea courts in the event of children being born out of wedlock.

According to Maeil Business News, Jung Woo-sung did not let the scandal affect his public appearances, as he continued to attend the Blue Dragon Film Awards on November 29.

The move sparked online backlash as Allkpop reports many were unhappy the Jung Woo-sung for “treating the Blue Dragon Awards as his own press conference”, talking about his own personal scandal instead of the film, “12.12: The Day” which he had starred in, and was supposed to be focusing on.
