Netflix is going through the roof. Its next project won't be a series of a movie but an immersive entertainment space called 'Netflix House'.

Basically, Netflix will open malls with shops, restaurants, and leisure activities related to its best-known franchises: 'Stranger Things', 'Bridgerton', 'Money Heist', and 'Squid Game'.

Texas and Pennsylvania (for now)

For now, Netflix has confirmed that it will open two stores with more than 9,000 square meters in the 'Galleria Dallas' (Texas) and in the 'King of Prussia Mall' (Pennsylvania), which will open in spring 2025.

The company's objective is clear: Netflix wants to expand the business, improve its brand image, and enable fans to interact and immerse themselves in their favorite series with characters and settings from them.

Marian Lee, Netflix's Marketing Director, says: "In 'Netflix House' you can enjoy immersive experiences, shop, and try food and drinks inspired by Netflix series and movies."

In search of the lost subscriber

A major objective seems to be to keep current subscribers and increase, if possible, the number of users on the Netflix platform.

Decoration

To achieve this, the mini mall's decoration features imposing sculptures and murals of legendary Netflix characters. They will serve as an attraction for fans and make others curious about the successful shows.

Reenacting the shows

Inside, as the company announced in a statement, the activities will seek a deep connection between visitors and the Netflix series. From an opulent ballroom set in 'Bridgerton' to a non-lethal version of a Squid Game.

Themed menus

The restaurants will offer themed menus with food inspired by the platform's shows.

Merchandising

And finally, the stores will make merchandising available to visitors. It's a bit like a Disney store but for Netflix originals.

The Dallas and Prussia Malls are massive and have a diversified audience. This would allow the company to attract not just actual but also potential subscribers.

If the project works as planned, 'Netflix House' will make the leap to other parts of the United States and to cities around the world. However, first, we have to wait for the mini-malls to open in Spring 2025.
