Quadruplets form Chinese music band 'Red On Wood' after graduating Berklee

‘Red On Wood’ is a Chinese pop band formed by a group of quadruplets, who have all graduated from the Berklee College of Music, reports 8days!

As quadruplets, the members of ‘Red On Wood’ are all siblings aged 24. Sohu reports that the names of the quadruplet sisters are Zhu Wanbing, Zhu Wanqing, Zhu Wanyu, and Zhu Wanjie.

According to Yahoo, the quadruplets of ‘Red On Wood’ had caused quite a stir during their birth in Jiangsu Province, China, as doctors were expecting triplets rather than the birth of the quadruplets.

By virtue of them being students at the Berklee College of Music, Yahoo reports that the members of ‘Red On Wood’ can be considered juniors of C-pop star Wang Leehom, who has also studied at Berklee himself.

According to China Times, the four sisters were already making waves as children at the age of eight, as they starred in a film with Taiwanese actor Alec Su once, and had also become olympic torchbearers for the Asian Youth Games at fourteen.

Since enrolling in Berklee College of Music together, the quadruplet sisters decided to form a band together as they felt that they had all shared the same taste in music, and thus ‘Red On Wood’ was born, reports China Times.

According to Sohu, the musical quadruplet sisters chose the name ‘Red On Wood’ to honor their given names, which were synonymous with this: ‘Red’ to represent their shared surname, ‘Zhu’, and ‘Wood’ to represent the sisters’ collective love for nature.

Red On Wood has already released music, with music videos for the tracks 'Unsettled Soul', 'Nocturne', and 'At This Moment'.

According to Sohu, 'Red On Wood' wrote music to convey their forthcoming fears as recent college graduates. As a result, the music on their first album reflects the emotional journey of graduating from college and entering adulthood.
