MrBeast teams up with Amazon

Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, will be the host of the new reality show that Amazon's Prime Video and MGM Studios announced in March 2024.

Beast Games

The new reality show, Beast Games, will be exclusive to Amazon Prime and will consist of 1,000 contestants competing for the grand prize of $5 million.

Mr Beast - conquering the net since 2012

Born in May 1998, in Wichita, Kansas (USA), Jimmy Donaldson has become one of the most-followed and applauded content creators in the world.

Mr. Beast: subscribers, videos, views

'Mr. Beast' opened his YouTube channel in February 2012 and, since then, accumulated 248 million subscribers, published nearly 800 videos, and had over 46 billion views. A roaring success.

Highest-grossing YouTuber

Obviously, this translates into money... A lot of money. In fact, according to Forbes, 'Mr. Beast' was the highest-earning YouTuber in 2022 with earnings of $54 million.

Reinvests earnings

The problem - or blessing of 'Mr. Beast' - and one of the secrets of his success, is that he invests, gives away, donates, or spends every dollar he receives.

Perfect combination

Jimmy Donaldson, unlike other content creators, has managed to make a perfect combination between YouTube and philanthropy. It led him to be one of the most respected Youtubers on the platform.

The best challenges of Mr. Beast

Obviously, after more than 700 videos and hundreds of challenges, some challenges by Donaldson are already part of YouTube history. What are the best 'Mr. Beast' challenges?

The diamond robbery

Four participants fought against a complicated security system to win a $100,000 diamond.

A house for 1 dollar

Yes, Mr. Beast sold a house for a dollar. Obviously, many people thought he was joking... but he was not.

The hand on the Lamborghini

50 random people put their hands on a $350,000 Lamborghini. In the end, the car went to Fideas, the last person to keep his hand on it. Mr. Beast not only gave food to the participants, but he also gave amounts between $20,000 and $40,000 to the finalists.

Helping hearing-impaired people

In one of Mr. Beast's most applauded challenges, the YouTuber bought more than $3 million in state-of-the-art hearing technology to help 1,000 people regain their hearing. It's a video to bring you to tears.

One million dollars in one day

Mark won a million dollars in a challenge. However, it didn't end there, because he had to spend it in one day. With Mr. Beast's help, he bought a house, a car, cell phones, and computers for his family, in addition to investing a good amount in the stock market.

Recreated Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory

He reconstructed Willy Wonka's famous chocolate factory as described by Roald Dahl, and had 10 people compete to win it. Yes, everything could be eaten inside the factory.

The Squid Game

Following the success of the Korean series, Mr. Beast recreated all the scenarios from the series, recruited 456 contestants, and ran the same contest, without killing off the losers, of course. The winner took home $456,000.

The half million circle

100 people were put in a circle and the last one to come out won $500,000. The final 20 participants won amounts starting at $5,000. Brilliant video.

Surviving on your own island

Mr. Beast paid $730,000 for his own island and set out to survive on it for 24 hours. Finally, he did the challenge with 10 people, and the last one to leave the island got to keep it.

Beastville, the city of creators

Mr. Beast bought up all the houses connected to a cul-de-sac in Greenville, his hometown in North Carolina. The homes were for his family, friends, and more than 60 employees, but the goal was to build a city for content creators.

Mr. Beast continues to expand

As the Washington Post reported in 2023, "Donaldson has reshaped this Southern college town and its rural surroundings into what some locals now call 'Beastville' — a small playground of viral spectacle centered around a huge, unpredictable star." Now, Mr. Beast continues to branch out, adding another Amazon streaming show to his long list of accomplishments.
