According to the same Zaobao report, Xiao Gang was left out of the 2024 comeback lineup because Toro himself decided it would be more appropriate to have a comeback with the original five members of 'Energy'.

Regardless, the reunion of the five members of 'Energy' is greatly welcomed in the C-pop world. Vogue reported that the band had released a new song titled 'Breaking Up Reunite' in January, which is a rather apt title for the band's first reunion in over 15 years.
