How Huang Xiaoming moved on from Angelababy with doppelganger influencer

Not just known as the ex-husband of Angelababy, Huang Xiaoming is also an A-list star in his own right. The Chinese actor is recently in the headlines for the confirmation of his relationship with a the Chinese influencer, Ye Ke, who happens to be a doppelganger of his ex.

Actor, singer, model and businessman, Huang Xiaoming is one of the A-listers in the Chinese entertainment world. He’s most recognised for his work in many hit Chinese films and TV series.

Huang Xiaoming was born on November 13, 1977 in Qingdao, Shandong, China. He started off his career at a young age, reports Sohu. It was at the tender age of nine that he landed his first role in a film.

Interestingly despite his early experience in acting and now-fame, Huang Xiaoming had wanted to be a scientist instead. However, Sina reports that he was persuaded by his teacher to pursue acting instead in college.

Ultimately, Huang Xiaoming decided to enroll in the prestigious Beijing Film Academy, where he met with fellow famous peers Zhao Wei, and Chen Kun.

The three had even been given an endearing nickname due to their shared origins in Beijing Film Academy, and were named the ‘Three Musketeers’, reports Netease. All three of the ‘musketeers’ are currently fellow A-listers in the Chinese entertainment industry.

Did you know?: Huang Xiaoming had been dropped before by a drama due to his introverted personality when he was a child actor? He has come a long way since then and had managed to rework himself since beginning formal training as an actor in the Beijing Film Academy.

And indeed it payed off as Huang Xiaoming had become one of China’s top actors. Some of the works that he is most known for include ‘Shanghai Bund’, ‘The Prince of Han Dynasty’, ‘Royal Tramp’, and ‘The Crossing’. This is just to name a few of his prolific works.

In his personal life, Huang Xiaoming had been dating the Chinese model and actress Angelababy for about five years, reports The Straits Times, and the news was kept secret until a year or so before the pair had registered their marriage in 2015.

The wedding of Angelababy and Huang Xiaoming was also known for being one of the more lavish weddings any star in the Chinese entertainment world has ever had, and still holds the record of being the most expensive wedding ever held in China, reports the South China Morning Post.

Despite the fairytale wedding, Sina reports that Huang Xiaoming and Angelababy decided to call it quits on January 28, 2022. Throughout their marriage, the two had a child, a son who was born on 2017.

Since the dissolution of his marriage with Angelababy, Huang Xiaoming has moved on several times. He was reported by 8days to have been involved with many women, one of which was reported to be the Chinese actress Zhao Shijin.

Back in May 2022, an earlier 8days report had shared news that Huang Xiaoming was reportedly dating the Chinese influencer Ye Ke, after a series of photos were uploaded on their respective Weibo accounts were found to be too similar to be a coincidence by a internet user.

Then, neither party had denied or confirmed their relationship, The South China Morning Post reports that Ye Ke is not just an influencer, but is also a fellow divorcee who was once married to a mining company mogul. She has two children from her last marriage.

Years on in 2024, Huang Xiaoming had suddenly broke the news and confirmed what was considered an open secret, that he had indeed been dating Ye Ke, after hiding the news for years. The South China Morning Post reports that it is unclear how the two met.

Tongues have been wagging on Chinese forums regarding Huang Xiaoming and Ye Ke, as netizens have noticed that Ye Ke bears a striking resemblance to the actor’s ex. Yahoo reports that some netizens have even speculated that Ye Ke had cheated on her previous marriage with Huang Xiaoming, and her ex-husband has come forth to dispel the rumors.
