His sister, Juanita Sanger, wrote in her social networks a farewell message for the actor, who passed away on January 24 and whom she described as 'A free spirit that couldn’t be held down'.

"Troy we will always remember that most mischievous, contagious laugh. Everyone loved you," his sister expressed.

In addition, his sister indicated that the actor is surely already with his mother, who has passed away. "I know Mum will be so happy to be reunited with her boy. Peace at last," she said.

Free from pain

And while his loss is heartbreaking, his family and friends found comfort in the fact that he is no longer suffering and will be able to rest in peace. "Troy, you were a pain in my [butt], but I loved you dearly. I’m just glad you’re free from pain," wrote on Facebook his friend Selina Bonica.

Actor Brett Blewitt, who also starred in the Australian series, said goodbye to his friend, "He was such a lovely person. Deeply thoughtful and empathetic. Cheeky and playful once out of his shell. Way too soon. Love you mate."
