Have you ever organized evenings at home with your friends in the form of aperitif dinners, where everyone helps themselves to appetizers as they please? It's a user-friendly and easy-to-implement format. To get inspired, look at our 30 ideas for appetizers, from the most classic to the most original. They will awaken the taste buds of your guests!

Zucchini sticks with parmesan and spices

Here is a recipe that is both original and very simple to make. Cut courgettes into sticks, and bathe them in breadcrumbs, a mixture of spices (paprika, garlic powder, dried oregano, pepper), and parmesan, then bake them for 20 minutes at 180°C.

Samosas

Take your guests on a journey to India by presenting them with a plate garnished with delicious samosas on the table. Inside your Brick sheets folded into small triangles, all flavors are allowed. Why not opt, for example, for a mixture of ground beef, onions, cayenne pepper, and curry?

Gougère with cheeses

Nothing is faster to make than cheese gougères! You will simply need eggs, flour, water, grated Comté, and butter, to form small balls of dough. Then bake them for 25 minutes at 200°C, and enjoy.

Burrata salad

A burrata salad is ideal to give a little freshness to your aperitif dinner. Accompany your burrata with a few tomatoes, arugula, olive oil and pieces of toasted bread, and you're done.

Mexican nachos

Don't serve simple tortilla chips to your guests: treat them to real Mexican-style nachos. Bake your nachos for five minutes, covering them with cheddar sauce, jalapeños, and red beans. Then, once out of the oven, place guacamole (homemade!), thin strips of red onions, a little coriander, diced tomatoes, and fresh cream on top.

Puff pastry with goat cheese and caramelized onions

A classic that generally appeals to a majority of guests. Cut your puff pastry into several squares. Then on each piece, place your caramelized onions beforehand (with sugar and white wine for example), and a slice of goat cheese. Fold over the edges of the puff pastry, then brush each piece with egg yolk, before putting them in the oven (180°C) for around 15 minutes.

Empanadas

Coming from South America, these little puff pastry turnovers are generally stuffed with chicken, beef, or even cheese. A safe bet for your aperitif dinner!

Cheddar and spinach muffins

How about serving your guests stuffed cheddar and spinach muffins? A blend that blends quite well in the mouth. To prepare them, you will need cooked and chopped spinach, grated cheddar cheese, Greek yogurt, eggs, flour, sugar, milk, and baking powder.

Mini salmon pancakes

Heat your blinis in the microwave and top with cream cheese, smoked salmon, and a few sprigs of dill or chives. A real treat!

Korean pancakes with kimchi

These Korean savory patties are very popular around Seoul, where they are called Kimchi Jeon. They can be stuffed with tuna, zucchini, potato, or more traditionally, with kimchi, a Korean fermented dish. Besides the kimchi, which you will find easily in Asian supermarkets, you will need flour, water, chives, an egg, and a clove of garlic.

Cheese plate

A good aperitif would be nothing without a little cheese on the table! Have several kinds of cheese, such as Comté, goat, Brie, or blue, so that there is something for everyone. Don't forget the bread basket next door.

Sliders

In buns, you can create your mini-burgers with melted cheese, some vegetables, chicken or beef, and a cocktail sauce for example. There's nothing more delicious than homemade burgers, and you're sure everyone will love them.

Lemon and rosemary foccacia
Chicken wings and chili sauce

Enjoy your roasted chicken wings, commonly called chicken wings, with a barbecue sauce or a chili sauce if you like it spicy in the mouth.

Cheese sticks

Cheese sticks can be fried or breaded, and go very well with sweets, such as raspberry or strawberry jelly, or a pepper-based sauce.

Profiteroles stuffed with cream cheese and salmon

The combination of fresh cheese and smoked salmon always has an effect on guests. Mix the two ingredients in small puffs to serve chilled as an aperitif. You can add a few sprigs of chives to them.

Gazpacho

Colorful and refreshing, gazpacho is ideal for the summer aperitif season. To prepare it, you will need tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, garlic, olive oil, and wine vinegar. Serve them in small glasses to your guests.

Tomato and mozzarella skewers

A classic that always wins success around the table. Easy and quick to prepare as well. Alternate a cherry tomato with a piece of mozzarella on wooden skewers. For even more flavor, you can add basil to your skewers.

Wraps

With wraps, you are free to let your creativity run wild. Wraps with ham-cheese, chicken avocado, Parma ham, ricotta, and dried tomatoes, or salmon-spinach; they can be tasted with all the sauces. Once done, cut them into equal-sized pieces so everyone can enjoy them.

Sicilian arancini

To give an Italian touch to your aperitif, nothing better than to offer your guests Arancini. These small typical Sicilian meatballs are made with risotto rice, mozzarella, and a homemade Bolognese sauce. They are then fried in olive oil. A pure delight for the taste buds.

Verrines
Just like for wraps or mini-burgers, verrine recipes are endless. The most classic are those with avocado and shrimp, or even salmon and cheese. Bet on a more original recipe with a verrine with quinoa, surimi and small vegetables (photo) for example.
Russian salad

The Russian salad, from Spain (yes, yes), is prepared with potatoes, eggs, tuna, carrots, peas, and mayonnaise. Decorate it with olives and piquillo pimiento, a typical pepper from northern Spain, if you have it.

Toasts

If you have enough time, make an assortment of sandwiches with various recipes. Grilled pepper tartines, duck breast and warm goat cheese tartines and salmon, avocado and beetroot tartines are just a few examples that could inspire you.

Spring rolls

Serve your spring rolls when they are still warm, accompanied by an Asian sauce, such as nuoc mam. If you want to make them at home, you will need soy gems, pork strips, shrimp, carrot sticks, rice vermicelli, rice cakes, mint, and lettuce.

Quiche

Quiche Lorraine, quiche à la provençale or leek quiche, here again the variations of quiche are multiple. Find here our 20 recipes for quiches and savory pies that will inspire you for your aperitif, but not only!

Raw vegetables in bulk

Prepare a plate of raw vegetables with cucumber and carrot sticks, tomatoes accompanied by flatbreads golden with turmeric. Ingredients that will pair deliciously with a white sauce or hummus. Pictured are three hummus recipes: Classic Chickpeas, Green Peas, and Beet/Orange.

Bruschetta

Unlike a classic slice of bread, bruschetta from Italy is country bread rubbed with garlic and seasoned with olive oil. This one was made with nectarines, feta, dried thyme and honey. A pure delight!

Watermelon skewer

To stay in the spirit of the summer season, we obviously had to put watermelon on the buffet. How about skewers made up of pieces of watermelon, hard cheese (county for example), and cucumber? An explosion of freshness in the mouth.

Croque-monsieur

Slices of sandwich bread, white ham, a slice of cheddar, and presto, in the croque-monsieur device! If you don't have any, you can of course brown them in the oven or in a pan. Cut them in half or quarters before serving hot.

Serrano ham chiffonnade

The traditional and unmissable of the evening: the charcuterie board, of course. You can mix and match different kinds of cured ham on your plate, such as Serrano ham (pictured), Bayonne ham, Iberian ham, and Parma ham.
