The legendary Hilary Banks was the most snobbish character of the 90s... and not because there was no competition! In 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' (1990-96), Karyn Parsons showed that she was an excellent comedy actress, but the series ended and she disappeared.

Between 1988 and 1993 she was Winnie Cooper, the neighbor and platonic love of Kevin Arnold in 'The Wonder Years' (1988-93). Yet, she preferred mathematics to acting. In 1998, McKellar graduated with honors from UCLA and became an outstanding mathematician.

Kelly Kapowski formed an iconic 90s TV couple with Zack Morris in 'Saved by the Bell' (1989-92). It would take her six years to become the evil Valerie Malone in 'Beverly Hills, 90210' (1994-2000). In the 21st century, she has continued to work but not on any big hits - with the exception of 'White Collar' (2009-14)

She played Phoebe Halliwell from 1998 to 2006 in 'Charmed,' but the magic ended with the series. Alyssa Milano will always be a myth of the 90s but the 21st century has not been as momentous for her.

With 'Clueless' (1995) she touched Hollywood heaven. She aimed to be the new golden girl of Hollywood but one of her next steps, 'Batman & Robin' (1997) sank her career. Yet, she has continued to work. For one, it is worth seeing her in the very disturbing 'The Killing of a Sacred Deer' (2017) with Colin Farrell.

The sweet Topanga from 'Boy Meets World' (1993-2000) enchanted Cory Matthews but also millions of viewers. Almost 20 years later, the series that gave her fame had to return for her to be relevant again.

She was an important member of the 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' universe (1998-2003). Her character Faith, at times, surpassed Buffy in fame. Yet, after the series, it went kind of quiet. Nobody knows the reason but her fame declined.

'10 Things I Hate About You' (1999) is, for many, the best teen movie in history. Julia Stiles made magic with the imposing Heath Ledger next to her. Since then, however, the actress has not repeated the success of that wonder.

Her Joey Potter in 'Dawson's Creek' (1998-2003) was one of the sweetest characters in television history. In real life, she chose Tom Cruise (for a while) and motherhood (forever). From that moment, it became quieter around the actress.

Her Laura Winslow in 'Family Matters' was a hit from 1989 to 1998. At the end of the series, at the age of 22, she tried to continue to work in film and television but without luck. In 2011 she left acting.

In 'Saved by the Bell' (1989-92), Lisa Turtle was always in the shadow of Elizabeth Berkley and Tiffani Thiessen. and that weighed on her. In fact, after the series, actress Lark Voorhies said some negative things about her former classmates on several occasions.

In the 90s, 'Stealing Beauty' (1996), 'Empire Records' (1998), and 'Armageddon' (1998) were some of the films she starred in. But the 21st century arrived and, except for 'The Lord of the Rings' (2001-03), her star has faded (a little). Of course, she did leave us with a legendary villain in 'The Leftovers' (2014-17) and we may continue to see her thrive as an actress.

Clarissa Darling launched the actress to fame in 'Clarissa Explains It All' (1991-1994) and 'Sabrina, the Teenage Witch' (1996-2003) consolidated her as a world star. But the year 2003 came and the magic was gone. Melissa Joan Hart hasn't stopped working, but does anyone remember her films and series of the 2000s?

Between 'Party of five' (1994-2000) and the 'Scream' saga, she was one of the leading actresses in the 90s. But fame ended up saturating her and she kept a low profile in the new century. Finally, she returned to 'House of Cards' (2016-17), only to get canceled because of the Kevin Spacey scandal.

Between 1987 and 1995 they were the most adored and admired twins in the world. Ashley and Mary Kate shared the role of Michelle Tanner in 'Full House' (1987-95). At the end of the series, they made their first steps in film and television, but it was their clothing brand that had most success. The sisters have been away from the spotlight for some time.

Without a doubt, her CJ Parker was the best lifeguard in 'Baywatch'. She patrolled the beaches of Malibu between 1992 and 1997 and became an icon of the 90s. The price to pay was not being able to get other roles than that of a blonde bombshell.

In 'She's All That' (1999) she touched the sky. Her Laney Boggs was the ugly duckling that Freddie Prinze Jr turned into a princess. The curious thing is that, since then, she has not stopped working in film and television, but the relevance of her work has been minimal.

She will always be Buffy Summers and that is a problem because, whatever she does, she will always be recognized for the role she played between 1997 and 2003. An alternative to avoid this problem has been to dub cartoon series.

Between 1990 and 1996, the world watched Ashley Banks grow up into a teenage beauty. Since then, and although it is hard to believe, she has accumulated more than 50 works in cinema and television. Projects that the general audience is mostly unaware of.

It is true that 'Smallville' (2001-17) began in 2001 but for one year, we are not going to leave out this lovely, 'forgotten' actress. She was in the series for nine seasons but never managed to build on the success that the series gave her.
