Duggar patriarch Jim Bob trashed by son-law in public Facebook post

Jim Bob Duggar is having a bad, no good, terrible month. First, his oldest son goes to jail, then his daughter is charged with child endangerment, and then he loses the State Senate election. And now, friends and family are calling him a liar.

The patriarch of the large Duggar family, star for many years of TLC's '19 Kids and Counting,' has always prided himself on being a good Christian.

However, now both his former best friend and son-in-law are publicly calling him a liar, and Derick Dillard even has gone so far as to say that Jim Bob is "verbally abusive."

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar said that their participation in the television show (even though they did not allow their children to watch tv) was their ministry.

By showing the public how they lived their Godly lives, they would perhaps inspire others to follow their own particular brand of Christianity.

However, as the years have gone by, it has become clear that the Duggar family was far from perfect. From the revelation that Josh had "inappropriately touched" his younger sisters to the Ashley Madison cheating scandal, Josh Duggar did much to tarnish the Duggar name; however, very few fans blamed the parents.

The family has been under a microscope ever since Josh Duggar was arrested in April of 2021 for possessing and receiving images of CSAM. Josh claimed innocence, and Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar supported their son.

Jim Bob Duggar was so confident in his son's innocence he decided to run for State Senate despite Josh's pending trial.

However, during the pretrial questioning from the judge, Jim Bob perjured himself by saying he "could not recall" the details of when Josh abused his younger sisters; many fans were shocked that he would lie while under oath.

Now, not only did his former BEST FRIEND call him a liar in a very public manner, so has his son-in-law Derick Dillard who is married to Jim Bob's daughter Jill.

It was clear that at the beginning of Jill and Derick's relationship, Derick idolized Jim Bob. In fact, the two were prayer partners, which is how Derick ended up meeting Jill.

However, following Josh's scandals, the couple began to distance themselves from the family and their controlling ways.

There has been much speculation by fans about what issues were going on between Derick and Jill with Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, and now Derick has clarified things greatly with a scathing post on Facebook.

In response to Jim Holt's public Facebook post, in which the politician tells the public that his former best friend is a liar and not to be trusted, Derick left a comment affirming that Duggar is not a man to trust.

Derick wrote, "I used to have much respect for Jim Bob, as my father-in-law, and I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt for years."

"Unfortunately, it's only become clearer to us over time just how deep this man's manipulation and deceit will go for his own gain, at the expense of others. He has lied to my wife and I numerous times."

Dillard, who studied law and attended Josh's trial for CSAM every day continued, "Contrary to his campaign, he does not believe in freedom, but his manipulation has resulted in what is akin to human trafficking. When confronted privately, he is not humble, but he is defensive and verbally abusive."

Derick then went on, 'When he says he cannot be bought, the truth is that he has a history of being a sellout to anything that he can personally profit from, and he will justify it however he wants to continue his personal agenda. "

Duggar's son-in-law then concluded, "Again, if he has lied and continues to lie to his best friends and his own family, will he LIE to YOU?!'"

Undoubtedly, the children of Jim Bob Duggar must have a lot of questions for their father. How can he justify denying their abuse and lying while under oath? It certainly isn't surprising he lost the special election!
