What happened to George Lopez?

Comedian George Lopez surprised everyone during his recent visit to 'The Jennifer Hudson Show'.

Time has passed

The actor, 63 years old, appeared on the show with unusually long, unkempt hair. However, the bearded version of Lopez still had the same energy and good vibes.

A striking makeover

The makeover has had such an impact that the video shared by the show's X (Twitter) account, in which George Lopez appears dancing, quickly surpassed 30 million views.

A viral dance

In it, the comedian dances as he walks through a hallway while the show's staff sings the main theme of his show, George Lopez (2002-2007).

Always perfect hair

Beyond the good vibes that come from watching the actor dancing, the more than 2,000 comments on the video often referenced his appearance and the notable change in George Lopez. The comedian and TV star used to be well-groomed and had short hair.

Weirded out

Viewers were weirded out by the look. "Long hair is a ridiculous look on anyone over the age of 25," one of them said. Others compared him to a historical figure. "I'm telling my grandchildren this was Albert Einstein," someone joked.

Karl Marx?

Many viewers jumped right into a comparison that, all things considered, was more than accurate. "He looks like Karl Marx," they said.

Pop culture references

Not everyone looked back that far in comparisons, though. "'George Lopez now George of the Jungle," commented one Twitter user, while another claimed to have confused him with Doc from Back to the Future (image).

Despite everything, love and admiration

But many of the comments made clear that the television legend is still very popular. "We love you still George Lopez," someone wrote. "We just didn't know you was that old."

Looking ahead to retire

George Lopez himself is also aware of the passage of time. As he acknowledged on 'The Jennifer Hudson Show': "You know, it's been a wonderful 45 years [in showbiz] and I think maybe I'll go, Jennifer, until it's 50 years. 2029. You've got me for four more years."

We've got him for five more years

If this happens, please don't panic if George Lopez continues to age. We all do. And we just have to get used to boomers with long hair.
