Hit-and-run, the tragic death of influencer Alana Paiva at 21

The death of Alana Paiva was a combination of bad luck, negligence and a criminal act that will lead to a lengthy prison sentence for the person responsible... if caught.

The event was an incident that cost the lives of two people, among them the Brazilian bodybuilder and influencer, Alana Paiva who was only 21 years old. The other, her boyfriend, Uilblim do Espírito Santo.

October 12, 2023 was an ordinary day for Alana Paiva when she was taking a ride on a motorcycle with her partner, retired former prime minister Uilblim do Espírito Santo.

With Uilbim driving and Alana Paiva on the back, the couple were crossing Estrada do Rio do A, in the area of Campo Grande, Brazil, as reported by 'Gl Globo' media.

Tragically, a driver with a van decided to make a forbidden turn with his oversized vehicle and came into contact with the couple's motorcycle head-on.

While the couple fell to the ground, impacted by the blow, the driver fled, failing to help the injured couple.

Uilblim do Espírito Santo, as reported by 'G1 Globo', was taken to the Rocha Faria Municipal Hospital, where he arrived conscious, even talking - but would eventually pass away after an operation.

10 years earlier, he retired as a military man, after being shot in the head in 2013, following a police intervention.

In the case of Alana Paiva, the influencer was admitted to the Getúlio Vargas State Hospital but, after 10 days in limbo between life and death, she ended up passing away.

The influencer has been buried in the Jardim da Saudade Cemetery in Paciencia. May she rest in peace. She was 21 years old. Meanwhile, the person responsible for the hit-and-run remains at large.
