Selina Jen (S.H.E.) welcomes new baby with mystery man

Selina Jen is a Taiwanese celebrity best known for being a member of the legendary Chinese pop girl group S.H.E. She gave birth to a son in September 2023, but the identity of the baby's father is still a mystery to the world.

Selina Jen, born Ren Jiaxuan on October 31, 1981, in Taipei, Taiwan, entered Taiwanese showbiz in 2000 when she signed up for a talent contest organised by HIM International Music and made it as one of the competition's seven finalists.

According to Baidu, Selina Jen's sister Lorene Jen also wanted to try out for the show, but she was too young to compete, so Selina took her place. Both sisters have made it big in Taiwan's entertainment industry. Lorene Jen is an actress, while Selina Jen is a singer.

As luck and talent would have it, Baidu reports that Selina Jen won the competition organised by HIM International Music with her singing skills as she busted out hits from Coco Lee and Christina Aguilera.

According to Sina, among the finalists, the three members of S.H.E were chosen to form what would become Taiwan's most iconic pop girl group. Ren Jiaxuan was given the name 'Selina' following a personality test to determine the on-stage personas of S.H.E's members.

In addition to the internationally renowned Selina Jen, S.H.E consists of Hebe Tien and Ella Chen, both of whom have established themselves as successful solo artists in their own right, in addition to their work together as S.H.E.

As part of S.H.E, Selina Jen has been part of big hits such as ‘Superstar’, ‘Persian Cat’, and ‘Too Much’.

While she is still part of S.H.E, Selina Jen is also now a solo artist and has released music under her own name. To date, she only has a full album titled ‘3.1415’ and an EP, titled ‘Dream a New Dream’.

Selina Jen has released a book, hosted a TV show, and entered the world of acting while branching out on her own. However, a major accident in 2010 would force her to halt her showbiz activities for a period of time.

According to NetEase, Selina Jen unfortunately suffered severe burns while on set filming 'I Have a Date With Spring' in 2010.

The same report notes that the incident left Selina Jen disfigured in more than half of her body and left her in a life threatening condition. She was discharged a year later, in January 2011.

Despite having experienced this traumatic event while at work, Selina Jen has continued on stronger than ever!

2011 not only saw Selina Jen getting back on her feet and recovering from the ordeal, but also saw her getting married to her then-beau, Richard Chang. According to HYBE, the two were together for nine years.

However, The Straits Times reports that the two divorced in 2016, with rumors of her husband’s infidelity surrounding the marriage. However, Today reports that the two have reconciled their differences and are on friendly terms.

The Straits Times reports that six years after her divorce from Richard Chang, Selina Jen has found new love! The identity of her current boyfriend is unknown, and it has been kept a closely guarded secret.

According to AsiaOne, Selina Jen’s current partner is younger than the star by seven years, and the two have been dating since 2022.

With the birth of a child on September 9, Selina Jen and her new partner are officially the parents of a baby boy! The Straits Times reports that this is the celebrity’s first child, and S.H.E bandmates were also present for the birth.
