Justice for Nirvana

Well, it seems that 2022 is already off to a good start! On Monday, January 3rd, a judge in California granted a motion to dismiss the "Nirvana Baby," aka Spencer Elden's case against the band!

Spencer Elden's "lifelong damages"....

Elden, who appears as a baby unclothed on the cover of the band Nirvana's iconic album 'Nevermind,' filed a lawsuit in August against members of the band. Spencer Elden claimed that the use of his photo caused him to "suffer lifelong damages."

Nirvana filed to have the motion dismissed

According to USA TODAY, on December 22nd, 2021, the defendants (Nirvana) filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit. Following this action, Elden had until December 30th to file an opposition which he and his legal team failed to do.

Elden has until the 13th to amend his complaint

As a result, district judge Fernando M. Olguin granted Elden "one last opportunity" to amend his complaint by January 13th, 2022. If he fails to do so, the case will be dismissed permanently.

Spencer Elden aka Nirvana Baby made an unpopular choice in 2021

When Spencer Elden decided to sue Nirvana over the cover of the band's album Nevermind, fans were not impressed. He was four months old when he was photographed without clothes in a swimming pool for the band's famous album cover.

Even Conan O'Brian made fun of the Nirvana Baby!

Elden claimed that exposing his anatomy to the whole world has been traumatizing and a form of exploitation. As a result of this news, some of the most hilarious memes in the history of the internet have been created. Click on for a good laugh!

Not cool Spencer, not cool...

It was a whole lot cuter when Spencer was chasing that money when when he was a baby...now it just seems pathetic.

"We are here now, entertain us"

It really would be amazing if they televised the court proceedings and the judge did say that!

Now this is just plain silly....

...but it is still hilarious!

Would Yoda sue??

Yoda would never do such a thing!

We hope this isn't the new cover of 'Nevermind'

This music fan shared this photo and wrote, "I hate when original covers change on reissues."

Who will be sued next?

We can relate to this one, as most teens of the 90s can!

Spencer Elden got it all wrong

It's always been about the music with Nirvana. ALWAYS.

Please let THIS be the replacement cover LOL

Weird Al is the KING of making fun of everyone!

This is just silly

Would Spencer have been happier being photographed in a suit? We think he would have sued Nirvana regardless!! Money, money!

Photoshop to the rescue?!

This is just hilarious! Another good contender to replace Spencer!

Darn you Hillary Duff!

Luckily, we were old enough to miss this "trend"!

Being on a Megadeth cover is more traumatizing

Yeah, these babies definitely might have a case, luckily we are pretty sure that this was the result of Photoshop.

Maybe Bee girl should sue Blind Melon

Her friends must have made fun of her for her costume, surely she is also traumatized for life.

The banana case

Sadly, the banana is not available for comment, LOL!

Spencermind

Maybe if the band renames the album to Spencermind, the lawsuit will be dropped?
