This spectacular mansion, nearly 9,150 square feet (850 square meters) and built in 1921, has been on the market before. Located at 671 Lincoln Ave, north of Chicago, Illinois, it's hard to recognize after 34 years since it appeared in the famous movie.

The owners' renovations to launch it on the market make it very modern, especially compared to what a young Macaulay Culkin showed the world.

First, the terrifying basement with the boiler that scared Kevin so much is now an entertainment space with a home theater and a half basketball court.

The same goes for the attic where Kevin was punished and forgotten. It has transformed from a dark, wooden area into a master bedroom that exudes love and romance.

The rest of the house boasts 5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, and a kitchen and living room spacious enough to fit the entire McCallister family comfortably. That much hasn't changed since 'Home Alone.'

To sell it quickly, the Dawn McKenna Group recorded a charming video showcasing the house, which, of course, went viral.

The catch? Finding a buyer with the $5.25 million the owners are asking for this legendary house. Many fans of the movie might not reach such a high figure. Or maybe people are willing to pay extra to own a piece of film history!

Fun fact: if some areas of the house look different from those shown in the movie, it’s because the interior scenes were filmed in a nearby school.

Even so, Chris Columbus's film did feature recognizable elements like the main staircase, the facade, and part of the kitchen. As a bonus, it also has a home theater, where you can watch 'Home Alone' on a whole new level.
