The renowned actor revealed in an interview with 'The Hollywood Reporter' that he had to overcome three bouts of depression in his life.

Aaron Carter - Schizophrenia

Aaron Carter, the singer who was found dead in his apartment at the age of 34 in November 2022, often talked openly about his mental health struggles. He revealed on 'The Doctors' show' that he'd been diagnosed with multiple personality disorders: schizophrenia, acute anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Right before he passed away, Carter participated in the pilot of the sitcom 'Group,' about mental illness and group therapy.

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex - Anxiety

According to Vogue, Prince Harry developed anxiety and panic attacks when he was in his twenties. In the 2021 docuseries 'The Me You Can't See' on Apple+, Harry and Oprah Winfrey talked to celebrities about the various mental health struggles they've had to deal with in their lives.

Cara Delevingne - Depression

The renowned British model opened up about dealing with depressive episodes as a teenager. She spoke to Gwyneth Paltrow in the 'Goop' podcast about having had thoughts of taking her life. "I was just ashamed of who I was. Fortunately, now that's a part of me that I accept and love dearly."

Angelina Jolie - Depression and anxiety

According to ABC, the actress has been extremely anxious since her divorce from Brad Pitt. "She hasn't eaten and has already lost more than three and a half kilos," a source close to the actress told the channel shortly after the separation. "Family and friends are very worried. She has been suffering from panic attacks and crippling anxiety. She can't sit still and spends hours pacing around the house non-stop."

Billie Eilish - Tourette Syndrome

Tourette's syndrome is a neurological disorder that causes involuntary, frequent, and repetitive tics. They can consist of talking as well as moving. Billie Eilish is one of the few artists who have spoken openly about life with this illness. She decided to share it through Instagram so as to connect with people who also suffer from it.

Cameron Diaz - Mysophobia

The actress revealed in an interview for 'InTouch' that she suffers from mysophobia, something that leads her to obsess over germs and cleanliness. "I'm aware of the presence of germs and I don't go anywhere near other people's fluids unless I know them very well," she said.

David Beckham - Obsessive-compulsive disorder

David Beckham has admitted on several occasions that he suffered from compulsive behaviours during his football career. These went a lot further than superstitious acts. "Everything has to be in a straight line and always in pairs," the footballer explained. His mental health problem was OCD, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

Anxiety crises are a constant struggle for Britney Spears. At some of the lowest points in her life, the singer was visibly suffering from mental health episodes, as she attacked paparazzi with an umbrella and impulsively shaved her head. She checked into a clinic more than once and now seems to be on the rise.

Jim Carrey - Depression

The actor revealed in 2017 to 'Inews' that he battled depression for many years. "Right now I don't have depression anymore," he said. "For years I suffered from it, but now when the storm comes, it's just a storm, it doesn't stay."

Selena Gomez - Depression and anxiety

In late 2018, news reached the world that Selena Gomez had been admitted to a psychiatric facility due to an emotional breakdown. "I've had a lot of problems with depression and anxiety," she told Harper's Bazaar, "and I've talked about it a lot, but it's not something I feel like I'm going to get over."

Anthony Hopkins - Asperger Syndrome

In 2017, the actor spoke in an interview with the Daily Mail about his Asperger's Syndrome. "I didn't fit in anywhere, I had problems and I caused problems for others, especially in my childhood," he explained.

Susan Boyle, known for her debut on 'Got Talent', confirmed that she had been diagnosed with Asperger's and that she'd given up her professional career because of it.

The actress told the Child Mind Institute that she suffered her first panic attack at the age of seven. "I was at a friend's house and suddenly I was convinced that it was on fire, that we were going to die." Stone says that thanks to therapy and meditation she has managed to keep her panic attacks under control, so that they don't interfere with her career.

Miley Cyrus - Depression and anxiety

The actress has revealed in several interviews that the high beauty standards of her Hannah Montana character took their toll on her mental health. "When I was 11, I was told, 'You're a pop star! That means you have to be blonde, have long hair and wear something shiny and tight'. But back then I was a fragile little girl playing 16 with a wig and tons of make-up," she recounted in Marie Claire. "I was made to look like someone I wasn't, which probably caused me some body dysmorphia."

In 2008, Justin Timberlake revealed that he suffered from OCD and Attention Deficit Disorder. The actor said he was obsessed with cleanliness and tidiness and that he could spend hours lining up objects at home.

Like Justin Timberlake, this world famous actor has had to live with uncontrollable behaviours. He has had OCD since childhood and, although the illness has caused him some setbacks in his filming, he's generally able to manage the intensity of the disorder.

It was in 2009 when the young actress declared in the British magazine 'Wonderland' that she had "auditory hallucinations, paranoia and social dysfunction." The symptom picture is also labelled as schizophrenia, and Meghan Fox has not been afraid to express it.

Demi Lovato - Depression and bipolar disorder

In her documentary 'Dancing with the Devil', Demi Lovato speaks openly about the depression and bipolar problems she has suffered in recent years. The singer and actress has had to fight hard to avoid relapsing into addictions.
