BTS' Jungkook: From music to cinema with first documentary
Jungkook of BTS is on a roll once again, as the star has become quite the sensation, with a documentary based on him that is now out in theaters in a whopping 120 countries, reports Korea JoongAng Daily!
The release of Jungkook's documentary, 'I Am Still', is a testament to the star's personal success outside of BTS. The same report from Korea JoongAng Daily states that the film chronicles his solo career since his solo debut, and details his musical journey outside of BTS.
According to Maeil Business News, this is also the first time a member of BTS has had a whole documentary dedicated to them, making it not only a personal record of Jungkook's, but also BTS history. Here's what Jungkook has been doing to throughout his professional career prior to this!
Allkpop reports that Jungkook has landed on another Billboard Top 100 chart with his latest song, 'Never Let Go', which was just released not too long ago on June 7!
This marks the latest in Jungkook's achievements, and it is a touching one given that 'Never Let Go' was meant to be a song dedicated to his fans since his mandatory enlistment in the Korean military, reports the Korea Herald.

Past achievements include: Jungkook officially being named the Top K-Pop Artist according to Billboard, superseding his boyband, BTS. For those who don't know the famous K-Pop artist, here's the history behind his significant historical achievement.
Not just a member of BTS, Jungkook is a South Korean singer becoming more known for his solo work. Him leading the Billboard K-Pop Artist 100 proves it.
Born Jeon Jung-kook, Jungkook was born on September 1, 1997, in South Korea.
At just the tender age of 14, Jungkook decided to audition for the K-pop reality TV series, ‘Superstar K’.
Although Naver reports that Jungkook did not pass the auditions for ‘Superstar K’ then, he was offered multiple casting offers from several entertainment companies.

The same report from Naver continued that Jungkook only settled with Big Hit Entertainment, especially after witnessing RM, the future leader of BTS, perform.

Jungkook debuted in the K-pop boy band BTS in 2013, alongside other members RM, V, Jimin, Suga, Jin, and J-Hope.

As a boy band, BTS has collectively earned many achievements, which include being the first Korean pop act to earn a Grammy, reports Yonhap News.

Jungkook has also ventured out as a solo artist by releasing his own music in 2020. That was when he released the self-produced ‘Still With You’ on Soundcloud, reports Billboard.
It was only until 2023 that another Billboard article reported that Jungkook gained massive attention for his solo work with the release of ‘Seven’ on July 14, 2023, which featured American rapper Latto.
And in the same year, Jungkook would go on to release three more solo singles and one collaboration single – making 2023 a rather active musical year for Jungkook.
The songs released in 2023 by Jungkook as a solo artist were ‘Seven’, ‘3D’, and ‘Standing Next to You’.

These songs featured prominent American artists such as the aforementioned Latto, but also Jack Harlow. The remix for ‘Standing Next to You’ also is notable in itself as it features R&B icon, Usher.

The Korea Herald reports that Jungkook has managed to hit several Billboard records with his songs, including being awarded the honor of being “the longest-charting K-pop solo artist on US Billboard's Hot 100 main singles chart with ‘Standing Next to You’ charting for “18 consecutive weeks” on a March 13 report.

What was more praiseworthy was that Jungkook had also managed to exceed his rather outstanding peers in BTS, ranking out top on the Billboard charts to be named Billboard’s top K-pop artist of 2024, reports Korea JoongAng Daily!

While Jungkook is ranked first in the Billboard charts for the top K-pop artists in 2024, his other BTS peers were ranked 63 (Jin), 62 (J-Hope), 61 (RM), 60 (V), 59 (Suga), and 21 (Jimin) on the 2024 K-pop Artist 100 ranked list on Billboard.
