Celebrities who cannot or won't drive a car

This British comedian has repeatedly said that he does not have a license and does not plan on getting one. He joked on the Graham Norton Show: "You can't drink and drive, so what's the point?"

Loads of people fear flying. Not Javier Bardem. Instead, this ‘No Country for Old Men’ superstar told the German newspaper Berliner Zeitung: “My greatest nightmare is dying in a car accident. That’s why I’ve never sat behind the wheel. Only in movies.”

“In movies, they clear everything. I just have to drive straight. But throw a curve at me? I’m toast,” he told the German paper in 2008.

Veteran actress Judy Dench has had to give up everyday tasks like reading or driving due to her failing vision caused by macular disease. "A couple of years ago I stopped driving, which was one of the most traumatic moments of my life. It was absolutely appalling," she told Radio Times in 2019. "But I just know I'll kill somebody if I get behind the wheel of a car now."
