The 15 richest female celebrities in the United States

They’re famous, they’re (mostly) adored, and most importantly, they’re rich beyond their wildest dreams. But just how wealthy are they? Forbes spills the gossip in its June 2023 report on the richest female celebs in the USA.

Oprah Winfrey, $2.5 billion

The timeless queen of TV continues her reign at the top of this list, a position she’s held for decades. She recently added a 900-acre Maui estate to her property portfolio that already boasts 13 properties in Hawaii, along with some prime real estate in California and Wyoming. In between property shopping, she’s producing a remake of the Oscar-nominated movie 'The Color Purple' from 1985.

Rihanna, $1.4 billion

Despite her major Superbowl performance this year, music has taken a back seat for Rihanna for some time now. Her clothing line, lingerie, and Fenty Beauty, a makeup line she co-owns with LVMH, have propelled her to an eye-popping second place, hot on Oprah’s heels.

Kim Kardashian, $1.2 billion

Despite market fluctuations causing her to lose about $600 million, Kim Kardashian is still rolling in cash. Her shapewear brand, Skims, and her skincare line, SKKN, continue making waves across the globe.

Taylor Swift, $740 million

The success of her tenth studio album, ‘Midnight,’ and her Eras Tour concert series boosted her fortune by a sweet $170 million. Fun fact: in November 2022, she sold over two million tickets on Ticketmaster in a single day.

Kylie Jenner, $680 million

Social media adverts and Kylie Cosmetics have made the youngest Kardashian the youngest celebrity on the list (born in 1997). While she is no longer the “self-made billionaire” that Forbes once declared her to be, she’s still pretty comfortable alongside her sister Kim in the top-five rich list.

Madonna, $580 million

The Queen of Pop continues to be a music industry titan as demonstrated by the massive tour celebrating her 40 years in the industry. Besides getting her back into the spotlight, the tour is sure to boost her ranking on this list in 2024.

Beyoncé Knowles, $540 million

Beyoncé’s seventh studio album, “Renaissance,” pushed her to a record-breaking 32 Grammys. High-profile collaborations with Adidas and Balmain, plus her first solo tour in seven years, are keeping her firmly in the limelight. Did you know she and Jay-Z just dropped a whopping $200 million on a Malibu mansion? It’s the most expensive property ever sold in California history.

Celine Dion, $480 million

This Canadian superstar has amassed a stratospheric fortune, thanks in large part to her Las Vegas residency. Sadly, in December 2022, she revealed a neurological disorder affecting her singing abilities, casting doubt on whether she will continue to perform as she has done for decades.

Judge Judy Sheindlin, $480 million

The famed television judge left CBS in 2021 (where she had been since 1996) to join Amazon, where she presides over three shows: ‘Judy Justice,’ ‘Tribunal Justice,’ and ‘Justice on Trial.’ That’s some serious legal tender.

Dolly Parton, $440 million

At 77 years old, the Queen of Country is still going strong. Between TV specials, a novel, a children’s book, one-off concerts, and a new 30-song album, it’s safe to say Dolly is keeping busy while raking in the millions.

Reese Witherspoon, $440 million

Whether as an actress (‘The Morning Show’) or a producer (‘Tiny Beautiful Things’ or ‘Daisy Jones & The Six’), Reese Witherspoon has a special nose for business. Just ask Blackstone’s Candle Media, which bought a majority share of her media company ‘Hello Sunshine,’ of which she still holds 18%.

Barbra Streisand, $430 million

A lifetime of being a beloved star means the millions almost grow by themselves. In 2022, she launched “Barbra Streisand Live at the Bon Soir,” an album featuring her first recordings from 1962. Her memoir, ‘My Name is Barbra,’ is already a preorder hit and will surely take bookstores by storm in November.

Ellen DeGeneres, $380 million

With ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ canceled in 2022, Ellen DeGeneres has been managing her $380 million fortune by doing some real estate shuffling, selling six properties and buying three, including a Carpinteria mansion near Santa Barbara where she resides with Portia de Rossi. The price tag? A cool $70 million.

Serena Williams, $290 million

She decided to hang up the racket to focus on her family, and she did so with $95 million earned in prizes. Her sponsorship deals and her company, Serena Ventures, round out the rest of her fortune. She’s also just launched a film and TV production company.

Shonda Rhimes, $250 million

Her production company Shondaland is a hit-making machine, from ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ to ‘Bridgerton.’ Her deal with Netflix remains one of the most spectacular in the industry.
