Academy Museum Gala - Red Carpet

The ‘Academy Museum Gala’ was created with the aim of bringing together well-known faces and raising funds for the museum's exhibitions and events, but looking at the guests at its fourth gala, it's hard to imagine that it wasn't the Oscars. The red carpet was simply spectacular and these are some of the best looks.

Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons

Gorgeously combining Prada (Dunst) and Gucci (Plemons), the couple looked dapper.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus

The 'Seinfeld' and 'Veep' star wore a simple Monique Lhuillier gown on the outside with secrets on the inside.

Pamela Anderson

Pamela's no make up and plain black The Row dress gives her serious points among fans and onlookers.

Jaden Smith

The ruffles, the pearls, the boots, and even the sultry look, Jaden Smith (son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett) ruled his Louis Vuitton outfit.

Uma Thurman

Always unique, Uma Therman's Fendi Haute Couture dress is original in both color and design.

Nicole Kidman

Timeless as ever and showing off her figure in this Balenciaga Haute Couture gown and gloves that provide a backdrop for the Omega watch.

Ke Huy Quan

The Oscar winner wore Zegna with an Omega watch and Fred Leighton embellishments.

Da'Vine Joy Randolph

The actress went for a slightly renaissance feel in her Louis Vuitton gown.

Macaulay Culkin

In a Zegna suit and bow tie with heavy rimmed glasses finishing off the look.

Brenda Song

A stunning look by Zuhair Murad for Brenda Song.

Mindy Kaling

Getting spider Halloween vibes from Mindy in the Versace Vintage gown with Effy jewellery.

Kaia Gerber

Starting with the stunning Kaia Gerber in Givenchy's equally stunning 1997 beaded, flowing gown.

Paul Mescal

The actor was dressed in Gucci and wore Cartier jewelry.

Nicholas Hoult

Suave and timeless in Prada, Nicholas Hoult reflected the mood and the brief perfectly.

Saoirse Ronan

We aren't sure who did who the better favour - Louis Vuitton to Saoirse Ronan or the other way round. They compliment each other.

Olivia Wilde

Loving a strapless number, the director wore a green Erdem gown and Tiffany & Co. jewels.

Cara Delevingne

Cara Delevigne went for a fun Celine cut, focusing on the style and less on the color.

Charles Melton

The Golden Globe nominated actor wore a very smart Coach suit. everything about this picture makes you want to stroke it.

Selena Gomez

Old Hollywood vibes from the singer/actress in Alaïa and Tiffany & Co. jewels.

Winston Duke

Living up to his surname in Etro with David Yurman embelishments.

Regé-Jean Page

Sometimes fabric mis-matches work, like they do here. Yet, to be honest, Regé-Jean Page could pull anything off. Here he arrived in a Dunhill suit and Santoni shoes.

Hannah Einbinder

There's a saying 'pinching in all the right places'...  the Louis Vuitton design for Hannah Einbinder turned heads...

Colman Domingo

Although Colman Domingo should have got a sample of the red used so as not to clash, we love the Valentino suit.

Cooper Koch

We say yes, yes yes to Cooper Koch in elegant Saint Laurent with a Vacheron Constantin watch.

Ariana Grande

Sweet and old school, Ariana Grande toned it down for this event in a Pierre Balmain dress with Swarovski jewels.

Drew Starkey

Loewe has to make an appearance at a red carpet and this time, actor Drew Starkey wore the label. Tiffany & Co. return to adorn another star.

Greta Lee

Another celebrity in Loewe with Tiffany & Co. and Greta Lee rocks the floral print and bunched skirt - original and classy.

Joe Alwyn

The English actor always looks smooth, this time wearing In Ferragamo.

Anna Kendrick

The singer/actress shone in this electric blue Monique Lhuillier number.

Dwyane Wade

The basketball player-turned-presenter dressed to impress in a Gucci suit with Tiffany & Co.

Rashida Jones

Fashion that makes you think - does it need a good iron or is it part of the look? Stunning Dior dress with Fred Leighton embelishments.

Ava DuVernay

We love this Louis Vuitton gown with draped sleeves and black clutch.

Zoe Saldaña

Zoe Saldana is also giving us a few Halloween vibes and she makes it on this list for the originality of her Harris Reed design.

Jessica Biel

Jessica Biel gave us two dresses at once. But the look was designed by Balmain with Cartier jewellery.

Eddie Redmayne

This red carpet brief seems to have been created for the actor. always suave and elegant and up there with one of the best dressed at events. Redmayne rocked Valentino.

Natasha Lyonne

We are not sure what we love most - the perfectly bouncy ringlets, the hair color or the stunning Valentino gown.

Quentin Tarantino

One of the world's best known directors in one of the world's classiest brands, Dior.

Gabrielle Union

When does Gabrielle Union not look a delight? Here she is in sparkling purple Elie Saab.

Dan Levy

Tiger of Sweden create classics with a contemporary twist and it was the perfect marketing putting it on the body of Dan Levy who wore it with style.

Awkwafina

Monique Lhuillier created Awkwafina an old Hollywood feel mixed with contemporary daytime wear. It works.

Ayo Edebiri

Thom Browne has done it again... Like getting a glimpse into history but chopped up and put back in the 21st century.

Eva Longoria

A big yes for Georges Hobeika's design with Simon G jewels. the right balance between unique and classy.

Cynthia Erivo

We love Cynthia Erico's style and this Louis Vuitton works in perfect unison with her quirkiness.

Meg Ryan

Loewe made it out again, this time worn by the legendary Meg Ryan.

Rita Moreno

Presenting... Rita Moreno in cream Dior bliss.

Laura Harrier

The model and actress couldn't keep it zipped-up! Ludovic de Saint Sernin was Harrier's label choice for the night.

Kerry Washington

Carolina Herrera's gowns always make a splash on their own, but if they are worn by Kerry Washington, it makes even more of an impact.

Gal Gadot

Gal Gadot is famous for her role as Diana Prince, a museum curator, so it is only fitting she should look on top form at the Academy Museum Gala in this Loewe design.

Sofia Richie

Sofia Richie looked stunningly silky in her Fendi dress with Ahikozao bag.

Elizabeth Olsen

The MCU actress went for black, too, which seems to have been the most popular hue of the evening. Despite the color, she shone in Nina Ricci and Swarovski.

Sarah Paulson

The actress' Prada top and skirt couldn't be more embellished yet look so refined. She finished the look off with jewels from Bulgari.
