Bob Saget aka America's Dad passes away at 65
The world has not yet recovered from the death of Betty White, and once again, Hollywood has been shaken by the passing of another 20th-century television icon: Bob Saget.
TMZ was the first to report that the actor and comedian passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Orlando, Florida.
Saget earned worldwide fame for playing Danny Tanner in 'Full House' (1987-1995); the actor was only 65 years old.
The authorities are investigating the circumstances of the death, about which, at the moment, little is known.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office officially confirmed Bob Saget's death on Sunday.
“Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room,” the Sheriff’s office shared on Twitter. “The man was identified as Robert Saget and pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case.”
What is known is that Bob Saget was on tour in the United States with his show 'I Don't Do Negative'.
A tour that had started in September and was going to end in Houston, Texas, in June 2022.
In fact, hours before his death, the comedian had performed his show at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall in Jacksonville, and crushed it.
Early on Sunday, he had sent a message of thanks to the public who had come to see him. Nothing suggested that the day would end in the worst way.
For eight seasons and 192 episodes, Bob Saget was one of the world's most beloved fathers on television.
Danny Tanner, not only gave him fame, but a television family that he has preserved throughout the years.
In fact, the actor repeated his role in 'Fuller House', the reboot that Netflix made of the original series, with Danny Tanner's daughters as the protagonists.
Beyond his role in 'Full House', Bob Saget also achieved great fame presenting 'America's Funniest Home Videos', between 1989 and 1997.
The actor also worked as the narrator of 'How I Met Your Mother,' had a recurring role in 'Entourage,' and was even one of the famous guests on 'The Masked Singer.'
In addition, Bob Saget had launched into the adventure of podcasts, with one entitled 'Bob Saget's Here For You.'
Now, what not everyone knows, is that Bob Saget was one of the most beastly comedians in all of America. Without filters and with direct humor, the nearly year-long tour he was doing in the United States made it clear that he was a comedy star.
Bob Saget leaves behind his wife, Kelly Rizzo, who he has been married to since 2018. From 1982 until 1997, he was also married to Sherri Kramer.
From his first marriage, Bob Saget had three daughters: Aubrey Saget (1987), Lara Melanie Saget (1989), and Jennifer Belle Saget (1989).
