Celebs who swear they've seen UFOs: 'We made eye contact'
After a US military official claimed that the US government has alien ships and "non-human" biological remains, the conversation has again shifted to whether life exists elsewhere in the universe... or if aliens are already among us.
After the statement from former Air Force officer David Grusch in front of US Congress, there's been a lot of controversy, with some minds totally blown and others flat-out denying his claims. But many celebs need no convincing, as they swear they've seen aliens or UFOs for themselves.
Miley Cyrus told her UFO story to Interview magazine. "I was driving through San Bernardino with my friend, and I got chased down by some sort of UFO," she said, describing it as a “flying snowplough” that was “glowing yellow” with a “big plough in the front of it”. “I did see it flying, and my friend saw it, too,” she said. “There were a couple of other cars on the road and they also stopped to look, so I think what I saw was real.”
She continued, saying that she saw a being sitting in the front of the UFO. “It looked at me and we made eye contact, and I think that’s what really shook me, looking into the eyes of something that I couldn’t quite wrap my head around."
The singer and actress added that she was "shaken up for five days" after the experience. " I couldn’t really look at the sky the same. I thought they might come back," she said, while also admitting that there were some substances involved, namely weed wax.
One of the most iconic mass sighting events was called the 'Phoenix Lights.' It was a series of widely spotted flying objects over Arizona and Nevada on March 13, 1997. Among the around 20,000 people to have seen them was the actor and pilot Kurt Russell.
He shared his experience with the BBC, explaining what happened when he was riding alongside his son Oliver. “I saw six lights over the airport in absolute uniform in a V shape. Oliver said to me — I was just looking at him, I was coming in, we’re maybe a half a mile out — and Oliver said, ‘Pa, what are those lights?’ “Then I kind of came out of my reverie and I said, ‘I don’t know what they are.’ He said, ‘Are we okay here?’ And I said, ‘Yeah, I’m gonna call in,’ and I reported it.”
Demi Lovato said, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that she had a "beautiful and incredible" experience with aliens in California. “We went out into the desert in Joshua Tree and I basically saw this blue orb that was about 50 feet away, maybe less, and it was kind of like floating above the ground, just like 10 or 15 feet, and it was kind of keeping its distance from me."
Demi Lovato said, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that she also had a "mind-blowing" experience with aliens on her 28th birthday in the desert in California. "We were stargazing and we tried to do this protocol where you make contact, and all of a sudden something showed up directly above us in the sky. It was huge lights that made a question mark, almost, in the sky — and then it just like backed out," adding that the experience changed her spiritually.
The actress who identifies as non-binary is also standing up for otherwordly beings. "I think that we have to stop calling them aliens because aliens is a derogatory term for anything. That's why I like to call them E.T.s!" she said in a documentary called 'Unidentified with Demi Lovato,' adding that she believes they do come in peace.
In 2013, the actor tweeted a video that he took, claiming it showed the glowing lights of a UFO. Some people said it was probably taken behind a glass but he denied it. One paranormal expert, however, said the lights were from an "unidentified floating object" like a passing sailboat in a nearby bay.
The singer told Jimmy Fallon she caught UFOs on video during a family vacation in Chile. In the vid, three circular objects shoot overhead of her parents and toward mountains in the background when she was taking a picture.
While she said she is "coming from a more skeptical mind," she insisted that "It's not a bird. It's not a phone thing," adding: "I think the aliens trusted me to capture a UFO moment."
"Peter [Drescher's ex-husband] and I both saw [aliens] before we knew each other, doing the same thing, driving on the road with our dads," she told HuffPo. "We were both in junior high. A few years later, we met, and we realized that we had the same experience. I think that somehow we were programmed to meet. We both have this scar. It's the exact same scar on the exact same spot."
Singer Nick Jonas claimed he saw three UFOs. “This was probably eight years ago. I was in my backyard in L.A., and I looked up at the sky and [saw] three flying saucers... I looked at my friend and said, ‘Are you seeing this or am I losing my mind? He was seeing the same thing."
"Then I went online and looked and there were three identical sightings, two weeks before," he continued telling ITV. “I’m obsessed with UFO stuff in general, so I’m all over this... That blue light freaks me out in the best way possible.”
Khloé Kardashian claims that she once saw strange lights and a UFO flying over California. With that, she is certain that there is life on other planets.
In one episode of 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' she even went alien hunting with her partner in Malibu. "Malibu has actually attracted a ton of UFO sightings," she said. "Then, when I was researching, I found out about this trail and this trail is supposed to have amazing alien energy. I am so excited again. Hiking, aliens — what's better?"
The late actress claims she saw a silver object flying across the sky at "amazing speeds" when she was 15. "I have seen one when I was very young. It was unidentified and it was flying," she told The Sun, saying she was "intrigued."
"In England most people now think UFOs are possible. Twenty years ago, how many people would have thought that?" she said, more than a decade before the stange US government hearing.
Dan Aykroyd, known for his performance in the 1984 movie 'Ghostbusters,' has investigated the existence of extraterrestrial life throughout his career. He even as a 2005 documentary called 'Dan Aykroyd Unplugged on UFOs.'
The actor and UFO enthusiast claims to have seen four UFOs, including one that was right above his head. He also told THe Sunday Times Magazine that alien life forms refuse to make contact with the human race because they see us as a "violent, depraved, disgusting species".
