Deadpool 3: All we know about Ryan Reynolds' anticipated film
Due for release in May 2024 (depending on how long the writers' strikes last), everyone is waiting for the 'mercenary with the mouth’ to give his third big-screen performance. Let’s take a look at what we know.
The previous two 'Deadpool' films were released under 20th Century Fox. The third film is now under Disney's control, which causes many fans to worry about the tone of the movie. But fear not, Director Shawn Levy assures us it is pure 'Deadpool' - carnage and all.

So far we know very little about the story, other than the director has promised us a movie that is raw, audacious, and very much R-rated. It will also dip in and out of a multiverse. So Deadpool and Marvel fans should be happy.

Of course, Hugh Jackman will don his claws for the final time as Wolverine. In addition, Deadpool’s favorite other X-men also return, such as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Colossus who come back to help Wade Wilson.

The surprising addition is the lovely Jennifer Garner reprising her role as Electra, as reported by Vanity Fair.

As 'Deadpool' fans know, our favorite anti-hero is teaming up with Wolverine. Hopefully, we will have a wisecracking buddy movie with all the humor and violence of the previous two films.

Fans of Deadpool know that he is slightly obsessed with Wolverine and even appeared in 2009’s 'X-men Origins Wolverine.' He did not appear as Deadpool at the time but as Wade Wilson.

Spoiler Alert!
Yes, anyone who saw the brilliant film 'Logan' knows that Wolverine dies at the end of the film. However, from watching the trailers for 'Deadpool 3,' in which there is a lot of talk of multiverses and changing timelines, one could argue that Wolverine is capable of returning.
In fact, this playing around with timelines means that the film can answer mysteries from 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness'. According to Screen Rant, it is also supposed to set up Phase 6's 'Avengers: Secret Wars,' which is a highly anticipated film coming out in 2027.

An unofficial behind-the-scenes photo for 'Deadpool 3' shows Jackman wearing a costume closely modeled on Wolverine's classic outfit in the X-Men comics. Levy claimed that he didn't want Jackman to finish his Wolverine without donning a comic-accurate outfit at least once.

A new report from GameRant reckons that 'X-Men Origins' star Liev Schreiber will return as Sabre-tooth (Wolverine’s brother) in the upcoming 'Deadpool 3.'
The latest gossip from behind the scenes of 'Deadpool 3' hints that fans may meet a new mutant in the upcoming film. It will be one who has very rarely appeared in any media outside of Marvel Comics.

NME has brought out another secret about the new film. Could it be possible Daniel Radcliffe will be appearing as, currently, an ‘unspecified’ role? Nothing has yet been revealed as to even the type of character he would be playing, if the rumors were true.
Other reports from Screen Geek and the Economic Times have hinted that Taylor Swift will star in 'Deadpool 3' as Dazzler, a mutant appearing in X-Men comics. Dazzler herself is a musician and singer in Marvel Comics. In a film as crazy as 'Deadpool 3,' a cameo from Taylor Swift could just be possible.
Reynolds used his muscle in Hollywood to get several major cameos in 'Deadpool 2's X-Force scene, including a split-second cameo from the wonderful Brad Pitt.

We will have to wait until next year to see the return of our favorite smart-mouthed superhero. Let's hope the Hollywood writers' strike a deal soon, because we need Deadpool on our screens and in our lives again.
