Treat your hair to a homemade mask!
When it comes to taking care of your skin and hair, natural ingredients are the way to go. We can choose the most suitable ones for our type of skin and hair while avoiding components harmful to our health such as paraben, sulfate, or silicone.
In the following slides, we'll give you some suggestions for natural and homemade masks. If you're not sure whether you're allergic to some of their ingredients, try a little bit of the mask on your hand before applying it to your head.
Do you have dry and damaged hair? The coconut oil mask will deeply nourish it and make it softer and shinier than ever. Opt for virgin or extra-virgin coconut oil.
This type of oil tends to solidify, so it is necessary to warm your jar of coconut oil before using it. You can just hold it in hot water, for example.
Once your oil is in its liquid form, you can apply it in a hair oil bath. Massage your scalp, strands, and hair ends with the liquid coconut oil. It's recommended to use virgin or extra-virgin coconut oil.
Leave it on for about thirty minutes, or ideally overnight with a towel. Finally, rinse and wash your hair. You may need to wash your hair twice to get it all out.
The banana mask has nourishing and repairing benefits. It makes the hair more supple and stimulates its growth.
Mash a very ripe banana, and mix it with a tablespoon of vegetable oil (such as olive oil). Apply the paste to damp hair, section by section, and leave it on for thirty minutes. Rinse your hair and wash it.
Eggs are full of vitamins, minerals, and good fats, which makes them an excellent beauty product for skin and hair. Egg yolks will nourish your hair, strengthen it, and give it shine.
Beat one or two egg yolks (depending on your hair length) and mix them with a tablespoon of vegetable oil. Apply the mix to your hair from root to tip and section by section. Then, leave it on for about thirty minutes. Finally, rinse and wash with shampoo.
Rich in monounsaturated fatty acids, avocado oil nourishes our hair fibers in depth. It is a great ally if you have dry and brittle hair. This natural ingredient will also strengthen your roots thanks to its vitamin D, thus stimulating hair growth.
Choose an avocado oil, preferably one that's 100% pure and organic. Apply the oil on dry or damp hair, from root to tip. Leave it on for at least an hour and ideally overnight. Finally, rinse and wash your hair several times.

Yogurt fights dandruff, moisturizes the scalp, and eliminates dead cells that accumulate in the hair. Honey also has moisturizing properties, stimulates hair growth, and makes it softer and shiny.
Mix two tablespoons of honey and half a glass of natural yogurt until you obtain a homogeneous texture. Apply it to damp hair, from root to tip. Wait twenty minutes before rinsing and washing your hair.
Castor oil is well known for boosting hair growth and limiting hair loss. It strengthens all hair types, whether fine or thick, straight or curly.
Mix castor oil with another vegetable oil, such as sweet almond oil, in equal quantities. Apply the mask to damp hair, strand by strand, working well from the scalp. Leave the mask on for thirty minutes, or ideally overnight, before rinsing and washing your hair several times.
If your hair tends to be oily, this green clay mask is for you. Thanks to its absorbent power, green clay regulates sebum production (the oily, waxy substance your skin produces to protect itself) and removes impurities from the hair.
To use it in a homemade hair mask, mix four tablespoons of powdered green clay in a bowl with warm water until obtaining a creamy paste. You can add ten drops of essential tea tree oil (unless contraindicated) or aspic lavender.
