Kourtney Kardashian's urgent operation: 'Forever grateful for saving our baby's life'

Kourtney Kardashian, 44, has undergone emergency fetal intervention due to a complication in the final stretch of her pregnancy. As reported by the member of the Kardashian plan, it was thanks to the quick intervention of the doctors that she managed to save her baby's life.

"I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life," wrote the eldest of the Kardashian plan along with this image published on her social media.

In the post, Kourtney also thanks her now-husband, Travis Barker, and her mother, Cris Jenner: "I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this."

The member of the band Blink 182 did not hesitate to postpone his European tour to travel with his wife and baby. Before knowing Kourtney's version, the band had simply explained: "Due to an urgent family matter, Travis has had to return home to the States. The Glasgow, Belfast, and Dublin shows are being postponed. More information in regards to his return to Europe and rescheduled dates will be provided as soon as available."

Regarding the unexpected intervention, Kourtney confessed: "As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear," she revealed.

Finally, Kourtney reassured her millions of followers by ensuring that she is now out of danger. "Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing."

This is the celebrity's fourth pregnancy, but that does not guarantee that there may not be complications, like those experienced by Kourtney, who is already the mother of two children, Reign Aston and Mason Dash (8) and Penelope Scotland (11), the result of her previous marriage to Scott Disick.

The news of her latest pregnancy was revealed during one of Travis's concerts when Kourtney announced the news with a sign and in front of thousands of people. The musician also learned he would be a father again at that time.

Until now, the celebrity had enjoyed a calm and uncomplicated pregnancy. They had shared several images of their summer vacation, enjoying the beach and the pool.

For now, details about the reasons for the surgical intervention have not been revealed, however, according to information from Stony Brook Medicine, a fetal intervention is performed to correct a potentially fatal situation or in order to prevent airway malformations in the fetus, diaphragmatic hernia, heart defects, spina bifida, among others.

Whatever the reason, Kourtney and her baby are out of danger and waiting for the birth which, according to some media outlets, will be at the end of September. Meanwhile, Travis has returned to the stage to continue his tour, of course, always keeping an eye on his wife and future mother of his son.
