Liam Payne toxicology report exposes fatal mix of substances
Former One Direction member Liam Payne died on 16 October after falling from the balcony of his hotel room in Buenos Aires. According to ABC News, toxicology tests have revealed that he had multiple substances in his system at the time of his death.
Among the drugs found in Payne's body, reports mention the presence of ‘pink c****’. This is a recreational mixture that includes drugs such as methamphetamine, ketamine and MDMA.
In addition to the pink powder, tests revealed that Payne had also used c****, benzodiazepines and crack before his death, according to ABC News.
The preliminary autopsy report indicates that Payne died due to ‘multiple trauma’ and ‘internal and external bleeding’ as a result of the fall from the third floor of the hotel.
Twenty-five wounds were found on Payne's body, with head injuries being the main cause of his death. This examination also confirmed that the fall was from a great height.
As reported by the tabloid TMZ, in Payne's room, authorities found a messy environment, with broken objects, a destroyed television. In addition, there were also traces of white powder, suggesting active substance use at the scene.
Moments before Payne's death, hotel employees had alerted the authorities. During the call, one of the hotel employees was concerned about his intoxicated state and the risk that he might harm himself.
When emergency services arrived, they found Payne's body in the hotel's inner courtyard. The singer was pronounced dead at the scene.
A hotel employee who allegedly provided Payne with substances has been questioned by police. However, no charges have yet been filed against him, ABC News reported.
This development has shocked those closest to the singer. According to TMZ, Payne had told his circle that he had been sober since the spring of 2024. In addition, no one closest to him had seen any warning signs.
