Soap star Tyler Christopher arrested for drunken nap at Hollywood Airport
On May 26, a man was detained at the Hollywood Burbank airport for being completely out of it. Soap opera actor Tyler Christopher, a former husband of Eva Longoria, was the man in question.
According to the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority Police Department, the 50-year-old actor had clear symptoms of drunkenness.
As reported by the airport authorities, Tyler Christopher was asleep on the floor of Terminal A, near the American Airlines desk, when agents found him.
When questioned by the agents, the actor said he had missed his flight and had fallen asleep.
Burbank police spokesman Sergeant Brent Fekety reported in an email to the LA Times that the actor displayed the objective signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication. He was unable to care for himself."
The Burbank Police Department confirms that they received a notification that there was a man in a drunken state at the airport at 8:30 p.m.
Two hours later, the star of 'General Hospital' and 'Days of Our Lives' was arrested and taken to the police station.
The actor was booked on suspicion of public intoxication and had to post $250 bail and $1,000 bond for his release.
"He 'cited out'," said Sgt. Brent Fekety, which means that Tyler Christopher will need to face a judge for his actions.
At the moment, neither the actor nor his representatives have made statements regarding what happened at the Burbank Hollywood airport.
Tyler Christopher has already had a similar problem. In November 2019, he was arrested in Indiana after falling asleep in the back of an Uber, People magazine reports.
The actor then pleaded guilty to two counts of intoxication. However, while prosecutors had requested an alcoholism treatment program for him, he managed to avoid that.
Now, with the second incident, it could be more difficult for him to get out of the requirement of a rehab program.
For 1,150 episodes, between 1996 and 2016, Tyler Christopher played two characters on the soap 'General Hospital': Prince Nikolas Cassadine and Connor Bishop. In 2016, he won a Daytime Emmy Award for his work in the hospital.
After leaving 'General Hospital,' the actor became a regular on 'Days of Our Lives'; from 2017 to 2019 he gave life to Stefan DiMera.

A recent project was the tv film 'Ice Storm' with William Baldwin and McKenzie Westmore, which treated a disastrous cold front in the state of North Carolina. It was not received all too well by the critics.
