Taylor Swift's bodyguard joins Israeli army to fight Hamas
Taylor Swift and her staff are very busy with her tour, picking up awards for her music, her film 'The Eras Tour,' and her visit to Travis Kelce's football games. For one of them, now a new task is on the agenda: war.
As journalist Eran Swisa from 'Israel Today' reported, one of the security members of Taylor Swift's team during her 'Eras Tour left his job to travel to Israel and fight against the terrorists of Hamas.
The image of this man could be seen all over the world as he appeared alongside Taylor Swift in one of her concerts. She came off the stage to greet her fans, and he guarded her safety

The bodyguard was born in an Israeli kibbutz but moved to the United States at a young age. There, he has spent his life and developed his career. However, in October 2023, he decided to return to his country of birth to fight with Israel against Hamas.

Taylor Swift's former bodyguard is volunteering to join the Israeli Defense Forces in their confrontation with Hamas.
As it turns out, he is one of the 300,000 reservists that the country had ready in case of an emergency. They can join its Army if necessary.
The bodyguard himself has spoken about his decision on his Facebook account. There, he can be seen dressed in an Israeli military uniform, Swisa clarifies.

"I’m not only standing here with Israel... I’m standing here with humanity," wrote the former bodyguard next to his image in a military outfit.
He also writes that, "While one side is protecting babies, kids and the elderly, the other side is using those as human shields!!!", thus clearly positioning himself against Hamas and the actions the terrorists are carrying out.
"They killed and slaughtered families in their beds alongside family’s pets!!!! And then they burned the houses down!!!!" he added. The remarks were in line with the descriptions by the Israeli Minister of Defense, Yoav Gallant.
The reservist tried to make people aware of what is going on in his country: "Try to imagine that happening in your own neighborhood, to your next-door neighbors, or to a family you know."
He also invited his followers to take action themselves: "Don’t be on the wrong side of history!! Don’t stand on the sidelines and say nothing…" he said.
The decision and words of Taylor Swift's former bodyguard have received both criticism and support. Some commenters emphasize that he is not a permanent worker on the artist's tour but just a security man in one of the venues she performed in. Swisa says the same.

In statements reported by Variety magazine, the man recognized that working with Taylor Swift was his dream job and he regretted having to leave it. "I got an amazing dream job that I love, great friends that I call family, and a very comfortable home. I didn’t HAVE to come here… But I could not stand on the sidelines."
While Taylor Swift remains on the sidelines, other acquaintances such as actress Blake Lively and actor Ryan Reynolds have donated a million dollars to help children affected by the conflict in Israel and Gaza, according to Variety.
The North American artist has not made any statements about her bodyguard's decision or about the conflict itself. Her mind continues to be focused on her successful tour and film, as well as her new love.
