Nirvana Baby's lawsuit against the band dismissed
Well, it seems that 2022 is already off to a good start! On Monday, January 3rd, a judge in California granted a motion to dismiss the "Nirvana Baby," aka Spencer Elden's case against the band!
Elden, who appears as a baby unclothed on the cover of the band Nirvana's iconic album 'Nevermind,' filed a lawsuit in August against members of the band. Spencer Elden claimed that the use of his photo caused him to "suffer lifelong damages."

According to USA TODAY, on December 22nd, 2021, the defendants (Nirvana) filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit. Following this action, Elden had until December 30th to file an opposition which he and his legal team failed to do.
As a result, district judge Fernando M. Olguin granted Elden "one last opportunity" to amend his complaint by January 13th, 2022. If he fails to do so, the case will be dismissed permanently.

When Spencer Elden decided to sue Nirvana over the cover of the band's album Nevermind, fans were not impressed. He was four months old when he was photographed without clothes in a swimming pool for the band's famous album cover.
Elden claimed that exposing his anatomy to the whole world has been traumatizing and a form of exploitation. As a result of this news, some of the most hilarious memes in the history of the internet have been created. Click on for a good laugh!
It was a whole lot cuter when Spencer was chasing that money when when he was a baby...now it just seems pathetic.
It really would be amazing if they televised the court proceedings and the judge did say that!
...but it is still hilarious!

Yoda would never do such a thing!
This music fan shared this photo and wrote, "I hate when original covers change on reissues."
We can relate to this one, as most teens of the 90s can!

It's always been about the music with Nirvana. ALWAYS.
Weird Al is the KING of making fun of everyone!
Would Spencer have been happier being photographed in a suit? We think he would have sued Nirvana regardless!! Money, money!
This is just hilarious! Another good contender to replace Spencer!
Luckily, we were old enough to miss this "trend"!
Yeah, these babies definitely might have a case, luckily we are pretty sure that this was the result of Photoshop.

Maybe if the band renames the album to Spencermind, the lawsuit will be dropped?
