Which superhero would you be?

If we look across the superhero offerings from Marvel or DC and TV series such as 'Heroes' and 'The Boys', there is a vast selection of superhero powers. That common question, which superhero would you be? Which superhero has the best powers? You decide…

Move through time and space: Hiro Nakamura, 'Heroes'

We start with two superheroes who have the incredible ability to explore time and space. First, the powers of Hiro Nakamura from the hit NBC TV show, Heroes. As he always says during the series he can ‘move through time and space’, meaning he can go to the past, the future, and teleport. Pretty awesome power, but certainly dangerous in the wrong hands.

Manipulate time and space: Dr Strange, Marvel

Another superhero who has the ability to manipulate time and space is Dr Strange. This Marvel character, played by Benedict Cumberbatch in the films, has more to him than just time and space. He can also predict the outcome of every situation, conjure spells and create objects out of energy. His weakness? He is still human.

Immortal: Deadpool, Marvel

Technically Deadpool is 'human' too, but he certainly cannot die. He has a regenerative healing power and, as much as he tried in the films, he cannot die - even if he explodes. Other powers include martial arts master, super strength and stamina, and, of course, fourth wall breaks.

Imortal & super strength: The Hulk, Marvel

All superheroes come with some kind of weakness. That weakness for The Hulk? Well, he is a great green beast. But other than that… he cannot die, cannot be hurt, and is super strong. He is a much-loved character from the MCU and Mark Ruffalo has given the world a more emotional side to Bruce Banner and his alter ego.

Super Speed: The Flash, DC

Swap strength for speed? The Flash, one of DC’s most successful comic book heroes in the world of entertainment, is so fast he can even stop time. It would be great to constantly stack up on carbs and not gain weight, too.

All things tech: Cyborg, DC

Another DC comic book hero, Cyborg, has a great power - again, destructive in the wrong hands. Cyborg could bring the whole world to its feet in this day and age of electricity. Connect to the internet, get past any firewall, talk to computers - the information of the world at his fingertips. Or, even, his rocket hands.

Invisibility: Sue Storm, 'The Fantastic Four'

Wouldn’t it be great to be invisible? It is certainly going to be a popular favorite power for many. The power of stealth, secrets… and no one will ever know. Sue Storm from the Fantastic Four uses her invisibility to fight evil, along with her ability to create forcefields.

Size manipulation: AntMan, Marvel & Emma, Gen V

Another way you can be super sneaky is by making yourself super small. Both Marvel’s Antman and Gen V’s Emma Meyer can shrink to the size of, well, an ant. They also both realize they can use this shape-shifting the other way and make themselves enormous - but that’s quite exhausting.

Shape shifting: Mystique, 'X-Men'

Shape-shifting would be up there with one of the best powers. Think of Mystique in 'X-Men': being able to become any person on the earth. The fact that the world is made up of so few influential leaders could easily mean turning the globe upside down.

Mindful power: Professor Xavier, 'X-Men'

The characters in X-Men possess some mighty good powers in general. Think of Patrick Stewart’s and James McAvoy’s portrayals of Professor Xavier. Telepathy and Telekinesis are two super handy powers to boast. He can also detect and track people and control minds - even bringing some to the point of insanity.

Creating multiple versions: Loki, Marvel

Talking of insanity, what about the God of Mischief? Never knowing whose side he is on, Marvel's Loki possesses a great power. Not only can he conjure spells but his best power has to be creating multiple versions of himself. In a fight to the death, you increase your chances big time.

Luck: Domino, 'Deadpool'

Instead of increasing your chances, why don’t you win each chance? Take Domino, for example, from 'Deadpool', who can pretty much always land on her feet. Yes, her power is luck. Ridiculed at first by Deadpool himself but it is indeed a power. We would say, one of the best. The true meaning of dodging a bullet.

Lightning and thunder: Thor, Marvel

Who needs guns when you have lightning? Thor, the God of Thunder also can control the thunder and lightning, has super strength, can fly with the aid of his hammer, and is very easy on the eye. He also has a good number of trusty and loyal followers, which helps.

Strength, flying, persuasion: Wonder Woman, DC

Not sent by the gods, but sent by the Amazons. The all-female society from Greek mythology churned out its top fighter in Wonder Woman. Diana Prince, played more recently by Gal Godot and immortalized by Lynda Carter, has it all - looks, strength, and can fly. She also has the lasso of truth meaning she won’t let villains get away with anything.

Everyone's powers: Peter Petrelli, 'Heroes'

Down to our top two superheroes and their powers. Peter Petrelli from NBC's Heroes has a power that nearly bests the rest. He can take everyone else's powers. So everything we've just covered, it could all be yours…

Indestructible: Superman, DC

Finally, we have to give the top spot to Superman. His power? Simply unbeatable. DC’s creation can fly, has laser eyes, X-ray vision, super strength, super hearing… etc etc. He does have a weakness - Kryptonite - but really, who has any of that?
