As a worldwide celebrity, Mr. Beast gets invited to exclusive events, such as the Titanic expedition.
Donaldson received an invitation to be part of an OceanGate expedition to see the ruins of the Titanic. He was to travel in the Titan submersible.
The YouTuber revealed on Twitter he was invited aboard, just a week after the submersible imploded, causing the death of its five passengers.
"I was invited earlier this month to ride the titanic submarine, I said no. Kind of scary that I could have been on it," he commented in the tweet.
The tweet was accompanied by a screenshot of the conversation proving that the invitation to the expedition was real.
"Also, I’m going to the Titanic in a submarine late this month. The team would be stoked to have you along," the screenshot read.

Luckily for him, Mr. Beast declined the invitation. Now, he can tell his millions of followers about it, , many of whom gasped to learn of the matter.
Jimmy Donaldson did not want to reveal the identity of the person with whom he had the conversation, nor is it known if, in the end, that person was one of the five passengers of the doomed expedition.
Nor has Mr. Beast explained why he rejected the invitation for such an interesting expedition.
Money was not the problem. While each ticket to visit the Titanic cost 250,000 dollars, Mr. Beast can easily afford that. According to Variety, he earns between 3 and 5 million dollars a month.

Now, if Mr. Beast was already one of the most beloved YouTubers before his revelation, he drew even more attention with his this 'bullet-dodging' experience. In fact, the support and affection of his followers has already been noted on social media.
In addition to being an exceptional content creator, Jimmy Donaldson is also one of the most generous YouTubers on the platform.

His viral videos are based on philanthropy. He gives away money, sometimes a million dollars, as well as eye operations to blind people around the world.

Many people say that Mr. Beast's altruism is due to the uncertainty caused by the Crohn's disease he suffers from. The illness can sometimes be fatal. So maybe that's why he's giving away a large part of the earnings he accumulates each month.
