Even though his father, Gustav Witzøe, gave him 53% of the company's shares, Witzøe Sr. currently maintains control of SalMar.
Despite this, his inheritance has not stopped growing. As Forbes points out, in 2016, at just 23 years old, his assets were 1.1 billion dollars, in 2022 he quadrupled it, to 4.5 billion.
However, the global economic turmoil reduced his assets to 3 billion million dollars as of 2023.
Gustav Magnar Witzøe has not left his money just sitting in the bank. He has made large investments in technology companies and real estate, as reported by Forbes.
While he waits to inherit the family salmon empire, Gustav Magnar Witzøe is dedicated to enjoying life and working as a model.
Gus, as his friends call him, has a streamlined Nordic body that helped him make a name for himself at the New York modeling agency 'Next Models Worldwide'.
Tall, blond, blue-eyed, and with the looks of a 20th-century Disney prince, Gustav Magnar Witzøe is quite a celebrity in Norway.
In fact, his Instagram account already has 131,000 followers, despite not being excessively prolific in sharing content.
Of course, each photo he shares on Instagram is an occasion to show off his luxurious lifestyle and hobbies.
Skiing, fashion, catwalks, classic cars, a private jet, and, in between, a McDonald's Bacon Cheeseburger. Because even the king of salmon fancies Fast Food from time to time.

One of his passions is cars, and this caused him a bit of trouble when he was arrested in 2018. He was driving at 116 km/h in an area limited to 60 km/h, according to 'Dagbladet Magasinet'.
While in other countries they may be somewhat more lenient, in Norway it meant that Gustav Magnar Witzøe spent two weeks in prison. "It was a strange experience. I felt very bad when it happened. Now I drive calmer."
Waiting to take over at SalMar, Gustav Magnar Witzøe is making himself known in the celebrity world - it could come in handy when doing business. His father has set the bar very high for him.
