Tragedies in big stadium concerts: Robbie Williams and Taylor Swift fan die
Robbie Williams's tour in Australia has had a dramatic start after it turned out that one of his fans died at his concert in Sydney.
The Robbie Williams fan suffered an accidental fall on Thursday, November 16, while she attended the British singer's concert at the Allianz stadium in Sydney (photo). It was the first concert of his tour.
According to media such as the BBC, a 70-year-old woman tried to go up to her seat by climbing over the rows of seats instead of using the stairs.
At some point, she was unable to maintain her balance and fell from a considerable height.
It all happened minutes after the show had ended. Fans were already getting up and preparing to leave the venue.
The woman fell from a height of six rows of seats, causing significant head injuries. Even though she was treated on the spot by someone with medical knowledge and immediately afterward transferred to St. Vincent's Hospital in Sydney, she would not make it.
As a spokesperson for the hospital declared, the woman was held in an induced coma in the intensive care unit for 96 hours.

Eventually, she was declared deceased, because nothing could be done to revive her anymore. A tragic consequence of what was supposed to be a happy occasion.
Just one day after the accident at the Robbie Williams concert, Taylor Swift had a similar experience at one of her concerts.

A 23-year-old Taylor Swift fan passed away at the show the American singer gave on Friday, November 17. It took place at the Nilton Olympic Stadium in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).
The young fan died from the consequences of a heat stroke, caused by the high temperatures inside the premises.
The organization of the concert in Rio had closed the roof of the venue and water could not be brought in from the outside. The Daily Mail reports that there was a thermal sensation of 60 degrees Celsius (140º Fahrenheit) inside.
Taylor Swift, depicted here at the fateful concert in Rio's Nilton Santos stadium, has expressed her devastation by the tragic event. She immediately took to her social media to send out a message to her fans.
"I want to say now that I feel this loss deeply and that my heart goes out to her family and friends," Swift wrote to her fans. "This is the last thing I thought could happen when we decided to bring this tour to Brazil."
In the case of Robbie Williams, the British artist commented on the sad death of his fan during his next show. "When something happens like this it breaks my heart," he said to his audience at AAMI Park in Melbourne.
"I've been thinking about it an awful lot, and I thought about it all the way through the show tonight. I just want to give a big shout-out and lots of love from me and my band to Robyn and Robyn's family."
Robbie Williams' concert tour is taking place to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the British artist's solo musical career. For this occasion, Netflix also released a documentary about his life in November 2023.
