Which car has appeared the most in movies of all time?
You don't have to be a car expert to name some iconic cars in the history of cinema. For example, the DeLorean DMC-12 from 'Back to the Future' (1985) or the Ford Explorer from 'Jurassic Park' (1993).
There are some models that get stuck in the audience and society's memories. Something similar happens on TV with cars like the 75 Ford Torino from 'Starsky & Hutch' or the Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am V8 that was Kitt in 'Knight Rider'.
A car can become iconic thanks to just one movie, but to be the most featured car in the history of cinema is a different story. And that's exactly what we're about to show you: Do you know what's the most used car in Hollywood's history?
An interesting study carried out by Carwow España has revealed that the Ford Crown Victoria is the car that has appeared the most in the history of Hollywood, a total of 1,019.
Known as the CVPI, this model has been the US police default car used in films from 1997 to 2013.
Apart from being the car used by the police in every movie, it's also the taxi we have seen hundreds of actors get into.

The next most featured cars in Hollywood are the Ford Mustang (932 times), Chevrolet Impala (816), Mercedes Benz S Class (758), and Chevrolet Caprice (721).
The rest of the cars in this interesting top 10 are Cadillac Fleetwood (697), BMW Series 5 (650), BMW Series 3 (643), Lincoln Town (638), and Jeep Cherokee (579).
If we take a look at the favorite brands for Hollywood, we see that Ford is ahead with 10,363 times on screen, then Chevrolet (6,508), Mercedes Benz (5,194), Fiat (2,942), and Volkswagen (2,880).
Some of the movies where Ford played an important role are 'Ford V Ferrari' (2019), 'I Am Legend (2007), and 'Transformers' (2007).
But what if we talk about the most iconic models? Well, apart from the ones we've already mentioned, we have 'The War Rig' (Mad Max: Fury Road, 2015) and the 1972 Ford Gran Torino Sport (Gran Torino, 2008).
But the list continues, and we can't leave out the 1977 Chevrolet Camaro in 'Transformers', the 1978 Volkswagen T2 Microbus in 'Little Miss Sunshine' and the 1959 Cadillac Professional Chassis from 'Ghostbusters'.
In the study, we can also see the list of the most expensive cars from movies that have been sold in auctions.
The most expensive of all was the 1961 Ferrari 250GT California Spider from the movie 'Ieri, Oggi, Domani' (1963) sold at 17.1 million dollars in 2016. It was not only an iconic car because the film got an Oscar, but because they were only 37 cars made.
The 1965 Shelby Daytona Cobra Coupé made an appearance in 'Red Line 7000' (1965) and was sold at 7.25 million dollars in 2009.
In the third place, we have the legendary 1956 Ferrari 250GT LWB Berlinetta from 'The Love Bug' (1968) that was sold at 6.71 million in 2012 —Ferrari made only 9 units of this model.
